  • If you want to see a good team in action...

Watch a replay of yesterday's match.

Skip the first 40 minutes and marvel at what they delivered in the second 40 minutes.

Great defence in adversity, didn't buckle under pressure, made the most of their only 2 chances to score, didn't get frustrated with lack of field position, aimed up after losing players to HIA, refused to cede territory while under constant attack (keeping them scoreless), fantastic completion rate and hardly any errors.

Sure it wasn't pretty, but quite possibly one of their best 2nd half performances all year.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

As Robbo said, “I loved it”.

Interesting take, the first half wouldn't have been nearly as. Dire if we had held the ball and stopped giving away penalties.

Tbh when i saw the thread name i thought you were going to say the dolphins .

Me too. We don’t expect positive Rooster related threads from Carlos. It’s a fresh change.

          They were next level.

Katoa is a special talent! Nikorima is in career best form.

Knock me over with a feather Carlos...but this time you are correct.

Missing 5 Origin players, cold wet away night in front of a desperate Knights team and coach and 24,000 Knights fans, and they got it done.

Lost Victor and Egan - who was playing well and is so much a better footballer than he gets credit for on here - and still got it done.

Hugo was instrumental in getting us field position and then guiding us around. He is such quality after only a few games. Someone said he broke the NRL record for tackles made by a half. Made 45. Missed 3. One of his long kicks near the end was a huge play. He could be anything.

My strategic thread title worked a treat then didn't it?

It roped in some of those who only expect negative posts from me. I'll give credit where it's due, and last night, their 2nd half performance was extremely credit worthy.

We need that same effort in every 2nd half from here on in, irrespective of how the first 40 minutes play out.

Bloody hell, I find them frustrating . Every game this year they run on the field ready to bust a gut – the commitment to each other is undeniable. Then comes the dropped balls- normally followed by a penalty-then a late tackle re-start. Lucky these boys can defend!

I guess you have to give them some slack when you look at the how many young experienced guys are in the team but we could easily have 6 or even 8 more points on the ladder if we didn't hand over games on a platter.

If we play to our best and have Sam Walker in the side we could easily handle any of the teams in the top 4 at the moment

The Roosters love a good error, or more.

We should of put our differential into the positive last night.

Cowboys will be tough for sure.

I reckon the Dolphins are highly underrated. I had them as my smokies at the beginning of the year but they started slow. They're coming good though.

Great coach, great young squad. Super fast.

Christian Woolfe can coach. Did very well with St Helens. Multiple trophys I think.
