Goodwin and Wright would be on minimal contracts and are fringe first graders at best. Stagg, Turner, Halatau and Keating are solid first graders but would be on no more than average contracts.. They have signed Tony Williams for $500K a season. Their agreement with the Warriors for Inu was to only pay $50K for this season but will be paying him $325K a season for the next 2. I think we could all agree Perrett should not cost a lot but there are reports he has gone for $300K a year. If they are willing to pay that sort of money then you can only imagine what players such as Ben Barba and Sam Kasiano re-signed for and recent signings such as James Graham, Frank Pritchard have signed on for.

youre right, and although they have been speculating contracts with big name players on big name money, it remains speculation.

I believe Stagg, Halatau have been told to look elsewhere. Pritchard would be on 400K, Penrith couldn't match it..

but Bryson Goodwin, Dene Halatau, Kris Keating, David Stagg, Steve Turner and Jonathon Wright are first graders, and certainly no nuffies.
Betcha Wright goes nowhere - the talk on him has been huge yet no speculation that I've seen on who is signing him?? Even with Souths looking for a 5/8??

I reckon he's already locked up.

Chiefs are on the verge of signing Charlie Ngatai, tipped to be Sonny-Bill's replacement.

Wright is an outside back who can play a bit of backrow so I don't see the relevance with Souths needing a 5/8.

The issue is what position he will play.

Will he be in the shape of a second rower or rugby centre? He looks a lot leaner at the moment.

I'd play him in the centres.

                      fulback RTS
wingers Oldfield and Tagive mabye Henry see how he goes.
Centers Sonny Bill and Tau Moga
                      Halves Maloney and Pearce
Moga and RTS would be lethal running off Sonny imo they would score a lot of trys trailing the big unit as he breaks the line and looks to unload to one of them.Cant happen soon enough for me.

So the Roosters (who are struggling to stay in touch), are getting rid of players while the Bulldogs (who are riding high) are still signing players. It didnt suprise me to hear that a Bulldogs weight session is 10 times harder than a Roosters one either, although it did sting a little. Why would we get rid of Myles, Carney and Ryles to sign SBW on a one year deal and virtually write off a season while we wait? If it's true it's amazing. Maloney wanted to come to the Roosters at the start of the year. His wife wanted out. Even allowing for that the Warriors refused. They understand their responsibility to the fans. We are being put through the mincer at the moment.

Thanks for the ego stroke. To clarify, I've celebrated Smith, trusted him, decried him and defended him. But I've never hated him...until now.

That description sounds kinda like John Sutton

Rightly or wrongly Myles and Carney were gotten rid of for being muppets, not to make way for anyone.

                                Great idea, let's drop SKD.
It's not as if he is our best attacking player.
