The rise of the Raiders is one of the great stories of 2025.They’ve done it through Ricky Stuart’s coaching and sharp development and recruitment.

But it looks like one of the key figures in their rebuild has been poached.The Roosters have signed their recruitment man Joel Carbone,and the Raiders are fuming.It’s well known there is already tension between the Clubs at coaching level,and now it’s all set to spill over.

Anyone got details or background on Carbone?

Only from what i can find on the internet:

- Was the Fox Sports Lab lead Statistician in 2017 & 2018
- Joined the Raiders as an assistant in 2019
- Was the Raiders NRL "attack" coach in 2020 & 2021
- Coached their NSW Cup team in 2022
- Has been lead Recruitment Manager since 2023

Of course I want the chooks to win the comp , but a warriors vs raiders gf would be a nice change .

I like him tbh I think he doesn't get the credit he deserves for his time with us and the 2008 Sharks are the forgotten team robbed by that cheating Melbourne scum.

The quip from the newspaper in the OP makes it seem like there's a Robbo v Stuart feud, I know they trade barbs here and there but I didn't think there was anything too deep but apparently there is?
