That is the way I saw it. Knights player grabbing Wong's shirt which prevented Wong getting to the ball uncontested.

      • O'brien in the presser is just insufferable - "I'm gonna try really hard this week to maintain my self control".

If that's as hard as he can try, it's not enough. "So many young blokes', "I'm just so proud". WTF?

        He's off the deep end.

Must be short odds to be sacked in the next week or two.

Fack that’s a great effort by savala, doesn’t really get dominated in tackles which is good

I think just about every other club in the comp beats us tonight bar maybe the Titans & Knights.
mmm Knights have the 4th best defence in round 15 with games to play - conceding 262 points - Only had 1 bye

              Newcastle minus 69 differential - 193 for and 262 against - 5 wins - Roosters 302 for and 320 against - 6 wins

              Dogs - 214 - 2 byes - 12 games - game to play this weekend
              Storm - 233 - 3 byes - 12 games
              Dolphins - 258 - 13 games - game in progress vs Cowboys - 1 bye
              Knights - 262 - 14 games - 1 Bye

Usually teams with the so called worse attack also have the worst defence - Not the case for Newcastle

Not sure like others on here that you give any credit to other sides when playing the Roosters . Probably think the Roosters should win every game.

The young blokes angle was very odd, heard Gagai say up against this Roosters side with so much experience.

For some context the Roosters 17 had a combined NRL experience of 1,124 the Knights had a combined NRL experience of 1,082 games. That's not even factoring in the first grade games that Hastings & Pearce-Paul recorded in the super league but this 3.5% difference in experience was sold as this massive hurdle that they should be so proud they almost over came? It was embarrassing.

They play boring footy and they're just as dry off the field.

Nobody in commentary was even mentioning that as a possibility, but clear as day.

Your counter to my claim that they're one of the worst attacking sides of this decade is that they're not a bad attacking side because they defend well?

I don't even know where to start with that...

                    • We were overall off tonight. We got the win and great we're now in the top 8.

Play the Cows next week and a win would be great. But if we wanna be a top 8 fair dinkum side we cannot be so friggin careless with possession and idiot high risk plays.

We were lucky tonight's turnout wasn't against a side that would turn those errors into opportunities.

Need a massive kick up the arse at training.

FMD you’re tedious. Same crap all the time. R6 said they are one of the worst ATTACKING teams, & you go on about their defence. They are the only team to score less than 200 points this season, with only one bye. They are 30 points behind the next worse team. Their attack is rubbish, which was the entire point of R6 post.

Maybe you could explain how we won with 46% possession and double digit errors, contrary to your mandatory requirements? (Just like our win against the Sharks, BTW.)

                          • I gotta give a shout out to Egan butch, I sigh when I see him named, but that was a really tough display, he was getting smashed pillar to post, and at one stage I thought he was replaced because of injury, but then took the next hit up.

                            great effort, gotta respect that.

                              • Scrappy game that could've went either way however I'm stoked with the 2 points and our new position on the ladder.

The tenacity of the young lads is something to be proud of.

                                This squad is going places!
