    Surely he doesn't play!
That would be crazy! Interesting though, you’d think they would’ve written that into the agreement between the clubs.

One of either would be enough to cover Sam if he doesn’t play 80. I have no doubt he will play 80.

We've won 18 out of 30 matches at Newcastle which includes 2 draws, won the last 4 games, won 7 of the last 8, won 14 of the last 17, won 17 of the last 22 which goes back to 1998.

Safe to say that Newcastle in Newcastle is a happy hunting ground for us.

          There are many possibilities:
          - A clause in the contract to protect Roosters from injury whilst waiting for the transfer
          - No clause and Young was never going to play
          - Cold feet on DCE and no longer caring if the Young contract falls through

No clause and Young was never going to play imo.

Why would we risk having to pay him $550k for 12 plus months if he does an ACL and why would the Knights take the same risk when he's not playing for them yet.

Yes probably. Tbh I would be more worried about Young's mindset in what has become an important game for both teams.

              • Call it a hunch, but I bet Robbo starts with the incumbent halves and has Sammy coming on after 20-30 odd minutes.

                  • Confirmed.

It’s okay Sandon and Hugo will do the job.

Poor Sam. Extra time recuperating from the knee.

Why do we never get lucky with injuries, it’s insane

                        • Wow this is shiiit! Not so much for our chances this week but just wanting to see Sam back in action. How annoying. Hopefully not too bad and he’s back in a couple weeks.

I'd rather Rodwell plays. Carries the ball strongly

                            • Fletcher Sharpe is in doubt....that would be a huge boost for us.

                              • gee that's a cruel blow for sammy. not good in anyway but if it's just the 4 weeks he'll still be able to make a difference this season. win our next 4 games then no harm done.

robbo didn't come down in the last shower. if dom plays then we've done the deal with the knights. after robbo's public comments the club went into the second round of negotiations with a strong hand. seems like they've played it to good effect. yes, it's an odd situation but they would have talked about it and felt that dom's up for it. all things being equal (which they're not really) no one would argue that rodwell is a better player than young atm.
