Ethan Strange is so talented & he will go on to play rep footy & that Patti is sensational with his decision making.

He’s a good’n but at the time was behind Kez and Sam so can’t blame him or the club for the break up.

Happy to see young playmakers having some success this season - seems to be a changing of the guard taking place.

Ethan Strange strikes me as a player who will have a very good club career but probably doesn't have the ceiling to make it at a higher level. It is very impressive what he is doing at 20yrs of age though so there may be more layers to his game we haven't seen yet.

Also the thread is misleading, the Roosters did offer Strange a contract, just the Raiders offered more & with a more direct path to first grade as we had Keary & Walker at the time. The club did not "let him go".

As Thirteen said, you can't keep them all.

He's a quality young player. Mentioned early in the season about our retention and he was one I would have loved to keep. To their credit, this was before Hugo and Sandon have played so well as this year has progressed. I guess we must have priorised Sandon ahead of Ethan. I know Ricky loves him and wants him there long term now.

I would never dob you in for that However the moderators do read these threads and they are keeping an eye out for that type of behaviour

Dear Rooster Booster. Nobody would have dropped Keary or Walker at that stage for Strange. However Strange left mid season in 2022 snd it was late 2023 before he played first grade for Canberra. Mind you Sandon did debut for us a little earlier in 2023
