Townsend is out as the report says - NSWRL never list which players are out injured or suspended -The NRL has the casualty ward of injured players and possible return dates if known and which players have been suspended and for how long.

Someone was asking what happened to Max McCathie - he was suspended for 1 game after the round 10 game vs Sea Eagles and also picked up a back injury in that game and hasn't played since - not sure of any return date - same for Fetalaiga Pauga who also has a back injury and has yet to play a comp game this season

I’m hearing he’ll get decent minutes in both halves of the game. But it’s still not 100% locked in. Good source but not the horse!

          Thanks mate.
I suspect there would be a few extra people going out today just to see Sammy. You'd be disappointed if he didn't play.

I’m going to head out- Kellyville though with 40cm of snow overnight in the snowfields and a south westerly blowing a gale - will be a bit chilly

I am heading out as well. Live close by so lunch in Kellyville prior and then head on down. Driven past the setup out there at Kellyville Park and it looks impressive.

              Go Sammy.

Roosters looking a little lean for middles today with no Losalu & Xavier Va'a, hopefully Sammy can get some decent field position to run through some attacking sets.

A massive wind too, really having an impact on the Jersey Flegg game.

Probably the only team where a long kicking game has been required is when playing Penrith

No coincidence they have been the best defensive side these past 5 years as they make their opposition work for every metre in every set and regularly dominated field position as a result

No strapping on Sammys knee, defensively he has been strong

Ball handling for Easts in Cup and Flegg has been poor

Has been a bludger of a first half, only try in the game was to the Eels from an intercept on a scrum play.

Eels dominated filed position as expected, Roosters pack not giving much go forward. Few opportunities the Roosters did get through Parra errors or penalties we were extremely wasteful with. Only positive for the Roosters has been their defence, have had to defend a lot of good ball attacking sets from the Eels.

Worth noting that Sammy Walker is defending left edge, typically a right edge defender. Suggests that we may in fact see a Savala/Walker halves combo.

Is this DLS Va'a's first game back?

Could that mean that Hugo will stay at 7 & Sam will play 6?

You would assume so, pretty standard practice that your primary kicker defends on the side of the field that they kick with.
