How about giving him some early ball? Just a great no nonsence player who doesn't do stupid things like the rest of the backline.

marky m is special, sus under the contested high ball at the moment, sadly Toops is starting to show his age.
would be unfair to move bobby or billy from centre, so wing would be his only option.
Tupou going nowhere. He is still a class above the others (including Manu) under the highball, hitups, and defence.
I would go Marky left centre, and tell Billy Smith he will replace Tupou on the wing after he retires. Tell Tupou 2026 needs to be his last year to accommodate Billy.
I kind of feel sorry for Manu. Voted best centre in the game recently, also a good fullback, but he is worth a lot more money at other clubs.Last edited by dice; 06-02-2025, 11:28 AM.

Going to be in the centres for Queensland for a long time.

He's surprised me & Im more than happy with him.
On yesterdays game when we were behind with 10 minutes to go the thought came to my mind that Teddy is the only X factor back we have.
Marky would be next but Billy Smith, Toia, Sandon, Hugo & Toups are not X factor game breakers IMO. Manu is.

Once upon a time centres were the absolute go to guys in the team, halves create width for them and throw them the ball.
What I like about Toia and Smith, is they play both sides of the ball well and as noted above just need some early ball and they’ll create breaks.
It’s been a failure since Cronk retired to unlock the right edge and Manu didn’t see enough ball to unlock his game. Sandon and Hugo haven’t opened up their edges in second halves to close out games.
