Yeah mate that’s the most frustrating aspect about all these losses against quality opposition we make the errors that let them back into the game.
Foketi drop after Sandons forced dropout at that time still had about 8mins we score there and we’re back within two with 7 mins to go ah what could have been.

    • Looking at the top 5, we should have beaten Canterbury, Canberra, Worriers and we thrashed Cronulla. Can't fault our effort especially with 5 backing up from Origin. Frustrating.

      Weird and open season.

      • To be that close with absolutely no field position is both seriously impressive and extremely frustrating.

I think it's very evident we have the quality but we just need to learn how to control the field position and control the tempo of play a little bit better.

This is what comes with young players and young teams though... Close loses now to 1st and 2nd on the ladder just a matter of whether Robinson coach them up in time and how much Walker can add to this side with his organisation as to whether we will make it into the top 8 or not.

        • Was a hot and cold game, seems like we fade away at the back end of games, not sure how the club fixes that as we looked brilliant defending in the first half then fade away and get done.

Sandon had a 6 on 2 overlap and took the tackle, if he throws that ball, we score and we win today. Not saying it's entirely his fault as our error count was absolutely disgusting but it is another point for the Sandon not being up for it argument.

No but the question needs to be asked why teams like the Raiders who weren’t that good can beat us just because of our errors being so many compared to them. Something needs to be done. Why has Trent got the most error prone team in the comp. I’m tired as are many fans of losing due to errors.

              • Does anyone actually know when Sammy comes back?

                or the target?

I agree we lost cause of errors but raiders are best team in the comp this year. They’re second in the table and yet to have a bye which puts them top.

which makes today decently impressive given how bad the hands were

                  • Raiders, like the Dogs, just further ahead of us on maturity, patience, discipline etc…We can play hard footy, but it costs us in errors, whereas those two clubs hang in there mentally and physically.

Good foundation to build from but it’s frustrating to be in these contests knowing we will come up short.

Bull shit. He was probably the most likely in that 2nd half when the whole team was out on its feet. Plus his goal kicking is ace, nearly won it for us.

Sandon did the same last week as well not sure why he doesn’t see the need to spread it wide.

Will he most likely be dropped for Sammy or will they choose the rookie over him?

Alas, all three of those soil their nappies under the high ball, as does Toups these days.

That's one of the jobs of a winger though in defending those kicks - he dropped a few the sane way in the second half vs the Dogs - May mean Centre is his best position as he will continually be targeted.

                            • Great game. No embarrassment losing to probably one of the top 2 teams by 2 points. Too many errors obviously cost us again. To lose by 2 points is crap but incredible defensive effort. Sammy, Whyte and NButch hopefully back next game. We will steam home after origin.
                              3/ Teddy
                              2/ Billy
                              1/ Gus

                              • Egan Butcher error was the turning point in my opinion, not the first time..

I bet he will be first picked again next week.
