I'd like to see Canberra do it to be honest, bit of an underdog story compared to Bulldogs and the Storm plus its good for the league.

They have the easiest of draws and should finish Top 2 which will help.

Not sure about them yet against the top teams come semis but only Storm stand out on best form. The rest are that even they are toss of the coin games and that includes us if we get to the semis. But if not us I'd love to see Ricky get one.

Goes to show we were down on troops, in particular Walker and could have easily beaten all 3 of the top 3 sides despite playing poor

tbh I reckon we can beat anyone in the comp! Just need to reduce errors

That's the easy part of the equation which is great news.

When this team hit's it's straps it's going to be a force to be reckoned with imo.

Broncos will win it IF they can get it together. They're such an all or nothing team. Things can go from bad to worse very quickly for them. They need to work out a way to stem the flow when things start going pear shaped. Reynolds imo needs to manage the game better. He's a seasoned campaigner so this should be his forte!

Personally I'm not over 2014 so I hope Madge flops.

I don’t really care if another side wins the comp - but please don’t let it be the Raiders.
I can’t get over the 2019 GF , where their feral fans outnumbered the Roosters fans 3 to 1.
To top it off, they still whinged even though “Bend Over” Cummins was willing them on to victory.
I don’t mind their title winning side from 1989 , they had heaps of talent, and deserved their premiership wins.
But their 2019 and current team are more ass than class.

Gees the Roosters won fair and square in 2019 so nothing to worry about.

An open comp and a side could win it from 1st to 8th position in 2025 come finals time.

                  That's one of the issues

Possession % needs to be 50% plus
Set completions need to be 80% plus
Errors need to be single digit

Gives a team the best chance to win games these types of KPI's despite those that say these stats mean little - pretty clueless if they think that as far as the modern games goes.

They always leave out the bullshit Cronk sin bin and that dodgy penalty they got from the overturned knock on that gave them field position for the sin bin, instead of us attacking Canberra's line when we had been doing a ton of defending we are down to 12 only 2-3 sets later and they still couldn't crack our defence. None of the 6 again or the trainer debacle would matter if Joey Leilua could pass the ball properly they still should have won right at the end they lost because their own team couldn't get it done.

Seeing the crowd dominated by Green was annoying but it was their first grand final in 25 years so it made sense they would come from the woodworks, the crowd was about 90% Roosters fans in 2018 which was an awesome experience and I think we edged Manly in 2013 as well at least it sounded like we did from my end with the Roosters fans.

Canberra are super league scum any way I'll never cheer on a super league team or a super league adjacent team like Melbourne. Dolphins, Titans, Parra, Knights, Tigers are the only teams I would be happy to see win a premiership if we don't win and most of those are perennial cellar dwellars.

100% one of the most open comps in recent memory. I think Melbourne are the deserved favourites but they are by no means a guarantee. They actually remind me of our runs in 2018 and 2019 to a lesser extent.

They are in the Top 4 and played some amazing attacking footy but they are yet to really put an 80min performance together and have been caught out with a couple poor losses. I think they have so much improvement in them, especially defence that if they time their run well like we did in yesteryear they’ll be the team to beat.

I am not impressed by the Dogs. Have been solid but don’t seem to have an extra gear to their attack outside of their defensive grind game. Canberra look more legit than the Dogs do for me.

The Riff worry me. If they go on a run post Origin and put wins together I can see them getting 4th and just going on with it and it all clicking at the right time for them. They haven’t been that bad and the decline is exaggerated.

As for us, if we make the 8 nobody will want to play us. We can beat any team on our day. We will know more in the coming weeks seeing how Sam bounces back.

The Panthers have been very unimpressive against lesser teams lately. They play Warriors this week without their SOO stars. Then have to play Dogs twice, Storm and Raiders in the back end of the season. I can't see them making Top 8 let alone Top 4.

The Panthers are also rebuilding however we're twice the footy team imo.

At times the Panthers have looked like a Cup side.

Penriff will probably make the top eight now so there's one less spot up for grabs. Must win this weekend.

You wonder what the Galvin signing will do to the Dogs - Galvanise them or they implode somewhat - Mahoney told he is free to leave and Sexton not re-signed and by the looks of it if playing NRL when SOO players are available to play club footy it will be as the dummy half.

You can see what the DCE episode is doing to Manly and not the first time either with DCE.

Players are pretty fickle when it comes to such issues as they wield the ultimate power over both coach and even the board at times - i.e. if a Coach get's offside with the playing group and or board of a club i.e. lose the dressing room and confidence of the board - The Coaches days are numbered and they often don't see out the season or are punted post season.
