Another very tough game. All the SOO reps named to back up. We'll have to play for 80 min to win this, the Raiders don't go away.

    Roosters by 8.

    GO EASTS!!!

Edit: I thought we might see Walker named on the extended bench this week, just to keep Sticky guessing. Nat Butcher also not named at all, even though he was originally named last week and was withdrawn. It will be interesting to see the NSW Cup side when it's named.

Don't think we will see Walker straight back into first grade would expect at least one hit out at NSW Cup level just to work off the rust.

we're paying 1.96 to win with the raiders at 1.87. gotta love bookies who have two odds on favourites in a two horse race.
      we'll give it a shake

No surprises from Robbo. If the origin guys can back up well, I think we will do a number on Ricky and his boys. Roosters by 18.

Raiders looked solid against the Warriors, have to say Tapine is an annoying in your face grub. Strange and Fogarty, couple good halves behind strong pack.
Be a couple sin bins I reckon.

How didn’t Tapine get cited for two separate incidents last week? Yet Stuart constantly whinges the world is against his sides.

I posted in another thread that this game will be the litmus test for the Roosters forwards - can they stand up to an aggressive pack , therefore showing we have what it takes to beat the top contenders in September?
You only have to look at the Raiders last game - 2 citings for Tapine, Horsburgh sin binned, Starling suspended.
Sticky even spruiking how aggression needs to stay in the game.
There’s no secret about how they will play on Sunday night.
If our forwards don’t stand up to them , forget about the 2 points, and the season.
                  Expect fireworks.

                    Will be a tough game
however going into the bye the week after a 14 day turnaround will help the boys rest
always better going into a bye with a win

SOO boys back, Watson, Leniu and Collins will all play under 40 min anyway

interesting Walker must be close - I do wonder if Nat has re aggravated or copped another injury after not being named at all

certainly some push for bench spots as well with Whyte and Nat back post bye only 1 of the 3 bench forwards will keep their spot

Another reason not to bet TBH.

The bookies basically run with an algorithm that ensures they're gonna win every time. Their computer then adjusts it based on the bets that come in.

These 'odds' indicate that although the Faders are 2nd and we're outside the 8, the bookies aren't willing to lean into it.

Of course they run a market to a margin. That's their business. Same as any gambling establishment.
In our game the margin is 4.2%.
                        GC $3.90 vs Storm $1.26 is 5%.
Just because one is odds on and one isn't makes no difference.
What's the point of them going up more than $2 on both teams? The punter can't lose.
The idea as a punter is to find the value like we were last week if you felt confident of us winning. If you think we have better chance of winning than the Raiders then $1.97 is good bet.
And it isn't two odds on favourites. It's one favourite being the lesser odds. We are the outsiders.

                        Always gamble responsibly.
Think what you can buy with that $10.

The Chooks have been too inconsistent for me this year they win when I dont think they can & they lose when I think they should win.
5 players backing up against a genuine top 4 team worries me & I heard tonight that the Raiders have beaten us the last 5 times they have played us at home.
Its going to be 1 hell of a game.

                            yeah, there's only one favourite.
but the fact that both team are odds on is literally absurd - if you take the draw out of a contest you can't have two winners
