  • How much more ridiculous can this rule get?

Canterbury ball carrier clashes heads with Dolphins defender who has to go off for HIA with blood streaming from his nose. Dolphins defender was falling to the ground before the Canterbury player sized him up and ran into him face first.

    Canterbury kick a penalty goal.

    Absolutely ridiculous.

The referee? Todd Smith of course.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

    Ahhh no not again.
Maybe the NRL should just get rid of the refs, ahhh but then there would be no game no Roosters & no Chookpen, I think I would rather have the refs.

      I knew you'd come running.

            The Dolphins pumped the Dogs.

I can't wait to play the Bulldogs again when Sammy is back on deck!

There are more concussions to defenders than attackers but they only protect the ball runner. Love the nrls game advancements

Penalty was for Ray Stone going on with the tackle after the doggy player had already passed the ball. He was also put on report for it.

Ahh is that what happened? I had the tv on mute and then rewound it to double check. I heard Stone's name mentioned but, to the viewer, it never seemed clear what the penalty was for.

                      Thanks for clarifying things.
