The guy is in retirement mode. A part timer. I hope he is smart enough to make the retirement call.
How can anyone believe he is worth risking $1M per year is beyond me. I hope the deal wasn't signed long ago.
Are we going to get a stats update tonight?

Then, the one trick pony becomes a no trick pony.
All the journalists then stop jizzing in their pants.
Then there is the case where he gets easily mowed down when he is in the open field- slowest player in the comp.
If the deal is done , our team can change its name from the Sydney Roosters to the Sydney Snails.

Not a good game for him but he still contributed. DCE's try assist tonight puts him equal 6th for try assists in season 2025 which is 1 more than Tedesco who we all agree has been phenomenal this year. DCE also is top 5 for kick metres.
He still beats both of our halves combined in key halves stats.

The passing of a ball to a player who scores is called a “try assist” - it doesn’t matter that the pass really didn’t do much.
That’s what I love about stats - they can make a pig sow of a game look like a silk purse.
I have no doubt that the stats in the Manly v Knights game indicate that DCE was the best half on the field.
They also indicate that DCE is having a better season than Teddy this year - I’ll have a chuckle to myself over that one.

As for your silly comment, I never said DCE is having a better year than Tedesco I said that DCE has 1 more try assist than him which is factually true. Remember, you're the one that blatantly said above that try assists are the only things that matter to you so you should be very excited about DCE coming in 2026.
Here's a fun stat for you
DCE Try Assists 2025 Season: 10
Chad Townsend, Hugo Savala and Sandon Smith Try Assists 2025 (Combined): 9

The thing about stats is that it doesn't show where you fcuk up.
Bad decisions passing, tackling, you should have gone left instead of right, you took the line on yourself instead of seeing an overlap. All the brain farts that cost you wins against the last placed team.
It happens to all of us as we get older.
In the end it's getting your team home is all that matters.
Let's hope it's not too late.

EDIT: I'm sure Hugo would have closed out that game just with his kicking game.

He profiles very similarly to Walker in that way (noted Walker is still young and may develop) so my concern is that like Keary and Walker they won't make a great partnership because they don't compliment each other.

But hopefully Sammy will help with what you are saying.
You are right though. Like last year we don't have issues scoring tries from anywhere on the field.
