It has to be, I can't imagine he runs out with Foketi up front and Egan Butcher in the backrow it seems like he just got a team list out of the way and will figure it out later in the week. I always forget when you're allowed to play guys from outside of the top 30 squad list.

I just don't think the NRL competition should be compromised for a 3 game event especially when so many players aren't eligible for selection.

imo SOO should take a back seat and be played at the end of the season.

Origin is the goose that lays the golden eggs.

When they get to a 20 team comp and have a 20 game season where teams play each other once, they’ll prob have time for a mid-season break where they’ll slot origin into.

Origin works best in the middle of the winter, in the middle of the week where ratings are sky high because there’s bugger all else to compete with rating wise.

Til then, just thank the upskilling Bobby Toia will get ready for big game finals preparation

Playing the fake of origin at the end of the season will never occur.
The shit series benefits it’s owner Ch9 also owner of the GF broadcast.
A 6 week fake origin series after the GF would take it into November - but importantly they would have to promote both during final times whilst the NRL loses its the control of its engineered tv scheduled competition based over 27weeks.

I don’t love what it does to regular club games - these are grossly mismatched squads.
