I think this is the benefit of having good depth in the halves. Sandon is much maligned on here but he is match fit and ready to go given he’s played nearly every game this year already.
Hopefully he gels well with Sam. I just worry about with our general play kicking as Hugo’s boot is far better getting us out of our own end.

Long kicking is an issue with Sammy and Sandon but both have a great short kicking game. Also defending. We lose a lot with Hugo's defence.

I think Trent will select Sandon but I'd have to agree with King here in that I'd feel better about Chad tbh. Has the long kick and is better in defence, I'd be okay with the playmaking being left to Walker, Teddy and Watson with Chad just focusing on kicking well and defending well which I don't recall him having issues with earlier this year, he just sucked in attack.

I agree. I am not too fussed that Sandon is the backup. He has an occasional error in his game but he has played some great games. I think Sammy will take a lot off the pressure off him. He probably felt like the main playmaker with Hugo.

An occasional error? He is the most error riddled half for season 2025 and has cost us games this year with his errors or poor playmaking.
