  • I Watched the Replay

You know what its like the morning after game day, you jump on the pen to check if we won or not.
Reading this morning I got the impression that we played badly and got smashed, but in reality we should've won that game.
Normally I don't watch the replay if we lose, but curiosity killed the cat.

For a young team without their halfback we are playing very well. Toia scores that try and we win.
It's a credit to Robbos coaching where we're at in this rebuilding year.

We don't need dce, we just need Walker back.

Of course, at full strength , Egan is in reserve grade.

We were excellent for the most part, which is why it’s so much more painful. That’s a game that I will never watch again. Too frustrating.

I agree with Eddie. The doomsayers are losing sight of the fact that we are without Sam Walker and that's a tough gig to try and keep winning without a star player much less one in the most crucial position in the game. Parra were lost without Moses, Broncos are mud without Reynolds, take the starting half out of most teams in the comp and they crumble. We're playing well in most games but lack the polish to ice these close games and that will come with Walker's return.

The Sandon Smith pile on is a bit much, he isn't Sam Walker but he isn't our primary halfback either he deserves less criticism.

We don't need DCE we just need Walker back, this is spot on.

I agree with you Eddie, in the context of where the team is at and how far they’ve come on in the last 2 months it was not a performance we should be overly concerned about by any means. If anything there were a lot of positives to take from that game.

But at the same time, as the saying goes it’s the hope that kills you. So after 3 wins from our last 4 and such a dominant first half showing I can also understand all the disappointment from a lot of our supporters (not including those who are just perennially negative after every loss

If we can call this season a developing or rebuild season we are doing far better than when Ciraldo and Gus started rebuilding the Bulldogs.

The future is bright at the Roosters!

Sandon Smith/Sam Walker or Hugo Savala/Sam Walker isn't going to win a comp in 2026. The team could maybe finish 5th or 6th with that halves combo, with DCE we probably finish top 2, definitely top 4.

Yeah, pretty over the top reaction, I thought.

They're top of the table and have comfortably dusted a lot of teams. Wasn't quite our night and bombed a few opportunities. Felt like the teams were essentially even throughout, which is a great sign.

What do we have, 7 or so players who have played under 50 games? They're going well. Plenty of effort and did a lot of great stuff last night.

We'll be a force over the next few years.

It's about patience though in developing the youngsters. The Roosters have been competitive in most games and sure a few more wins would be handy but still a long way to go in this comp and apart from the Dogs and Warriors no other teams is playing consistent footy.

Whether either of them are premiership contenders is as yet unknown as the so called big guns in Penrith , Storm and Broncos have been rather inconsistent week in week out so far in 2025 -Men's SOO coming up as well

                              Agent and fluffer I think.
