    This.
Roosters lost the game last night , as we were beaten in the forwards in the second half.
How does that happen when you have supposedly 4 good forwards on the bench, and you are playing against a depleted Bulldogs pack?
We should have romped to a win.
Without Spencer on the field , our pack looks lame.
Our top priority should be to buy an aggressive front rower , if we can’t develop one within.
The tries by Xerri & Burton would never have happened if our forwards were dominating field position , or weren’t exhausted.
Again, how does it happen, when we have named 10 forwards in the 17?
Marky was atrocious under the high ball, but it didn’t help that Burton was kicking on the last from deep on our side of halfway, and the dogs were pouring through to put pressure on him.
Same thing happened against the Riff a few weeks back - that night , we got dominated in the forwards.
I’m waiting to see if Robbo puts a rocket up the forwards- surely the young guys are realising that you need to bash the opposition , and win the physical battle, if you want to make a name for yourself, and win games.

5 times out of 10? WTF
I was talking about 1 game the game last night that was 50/50 IMO.
You dont think it was, lets move on. We agree to disagree.
You don’t get to criticise me and then try and finesse your way out of allowing me to respond by saying “we agree to disagree”… because I don’t.

Saying 5 times out of 10 is exactly the same as 50/50, that is not over analysis that is just common sense. I think you’re drawing a false equivalence between the game being close and the outcome of the game.

I was really impressed by our power game in the first 40minutes last night, I don’t think Ciraldo gave us enough credit post game, we genuinely outplayed them in that first half and earnt our dominance in possession, wasn’t like the Bullodgs were making multiple errors or penalties to gift us that field position and ensuing run of possession, we earnt it. Which admittedly I didn’t see that coming, certainly not how dominant we were.

    However the conclusion of the game was very predictable for me, I said this earlier in the week in the thread about how we beat the Bulldogs;

The Bulldogs are basing their game very similarly around the attritional based game the Panthers did, not surprising given Ciraldo came from that system. It’s all about we’re only going to give you 2-3 tries a game and then see if you can stay with us and beat us with only 2-3 tries on the board.

We couldn’t because we showed the same defensive frailties we did in tight games against the Rabbitohs and the Warriors.

Bulldogs winning that game was not a 50/50 chance luck, because as I said we continue to keep losing those games and they continue to keep winning those games so at what point do you start to rule out 50/50 “luck” and start attributing it to our inability to defend our way to a victory?

Yes and also for his longevity and for the team. I’d have Foketi in and ZDC miss out with Radley filling in for Watson when he has a spell. Radley better used this way as his thinking and positioning aligned. In the interim he can drop some kilos and work on his speed.

I'd rather read Rooster6's so called "over analysis" than the usual "this guy is shit that guy is shit the team sucks" that regurgitates after every loss. Don't change please R6

Was great to see us competitive but we failed to close it out, same as we have a few times this year. That's not just bad luck.

I also wanna give a mention to Rob on the edge. I don’t think I’ve seen a centre in our colours defend the way he has been for us in a long time. The dogs gave Xerri good early ball several times but he couldn’t beat our guy.

Nah mate they are the real deal imo. They had 6 out last night and also lost DSF early.

I hate to admit that because they are getting up there on the list of most hated because of their grubby fans. I came across a video of their fans last night giving it to Robbo in the coaches box once the full time whistle blew. You can literally hear them say “ Fark you dog “. I mean what the fark is the need to do that? Like I hate that fanbase I think. But on the field they are a good grinding, fit team.

Lindsay's lateral movement is the slowest in the comp. The Manly Ferry has a better turning circle. I'd be surprised if Slater picks him!

We're very susceptible when the opposition turns the ball back inside. We've conceded numerous costly tries in this fashion. Players around the ruck have been caught out ball watching, switching off and being lazy.
