The Dom Young stuff in particular was interesting…not much on DCE but it seems like we are still interested. Robbo indicated that Savala is not going anywhere.EASTS TO WIN! -
Yeah. The Dom thing was good to hear what our side of the story is. Assuming it is the truth. No talk of us paying $250K and neither the club or Dom knowing what was going on. Dom could end up fulfilling his contract in the end.
Cheese off tomorrow. there was never a stoush with Souffs. Just a smooth transition.
DCE - we haven't spoken to him or his management since DCE announced he was leaving Manly. Despite the media trying to be the first to guess what is happening. 1 year, 2 years....nobody has a fkn clue what goes on at the Roosters.
Interesting that Sandon's manager shopping him around was not brought up.

Lindsay would be busting his gut to get back this week and have a good game to prove himself for origin. I hope it’s not premature and he does further injury. If he plays and is healthy I’m sure it will be limited minutes compared to his normal but he will have a point to prove.Comment

Yeah all very interesting especially the Dom part. The idiots from the media like to make rubbish up and automatically put the Roosters into the villains category. Ruthless Roosters trying to offload ex Newcastle hero to make way for shiny new toy. That’s the spin Newcastle were hoping for and got and tried to bluff the Roosters into doing some sort of deal to release him.Comment

- cheese is done and I actually agree he was building some momentum pre acl which was dissapointing
- dom young was all the knights doing and then they backflipped to saying we needed to cough up for him (if that’s the case just keep him this year as backup)
- DCE take it as you read it could allready be signed or maybe it’s up to DCE and he still hasn’t made up his mind if he is playing or not
it’s a tough one I know it works well getting rid if dead wood but we certainly can be to blame for some contract stuff ups and also pushing guys out early - but it slowly seems they are getting the ship back in the right direction againComment

Robbo made it clear he rates Dom and there's a pathway forward for him.
Having watched the NSW Cup highlights I'm still of the opinion that somebody's poked a needle through this dom. He played a role in most of our tries but also played a role in most of Manly's tries. IMO his defence doesn't even have to be excellent... he's just gotta get it up to the stage where he's an average defender and he'll be an absolute monster. I just dunno how to make it click for him...Comment

I think some straw clutching from the faithful here wishing any little cue means that DCE isn’t coming. When have you ever had Robbo come out and not immediately squash something if it wasn’t happening.
We haven’t spoken to his management since he announced it 6 weeks ago because we don’t need to. The deal is more than likely already done.
Really good to hear the explanation about Young though. That makes us look a lot smarter and good on Robbo for standing his ground and calling out poor practice from Newcastle. Young still has a role in the squad for sure. It’s interesting though that we were willing to let him go, and Don wanted to go after what was only a week in NSW Cup.Comment
