I don’t want him. Not that it matters what any of us want as he’s probably already signed.

Do you want DCE to be a Rooster in 2025?

Manly play such a basic game. They always appear so predictable and flat.
I really like Billy Burns from the Sharks. I've kept a close eye on him this season. Backrower and off contract at the of this season which I'm very surprised about. I say get the dog!

Not to make excuses for DCE but I would say it'd be hard to be overly motivated playing for a club that you feel has disrespected you and you're having massive public fall outs with management and potentially players also. DCE is kind of just there because he's contracted to be there and he doesn't want to be unprofessional and leave the club high and dry, I personally think if he plays poorly in Origin then that's the sign that he might be declining because as theGman said, he always lifts for Origin.
Regardless, despite DCE having a rare bad year his stats are actually better than Sandon's stats who is our only valid comparison thus far. Despite being 36 years old and Sandon being an alleged amazing ballrunner we see Sandon only merely beating DCE when it comes to running the ball. DCE leads in playmaking skills such as try assists and offloads, he leads in defensive efforts with Sandon missing almost double the tackles whilst DCE also has 2600 more kicking metres than Sandon for the 2025 season thus far, DCE also leads in tackle breaks by a considerable amount as well (18 Vs 11)
If Sandon hadn't had the great game against the Dragons DCE would be ahead in every stat so it's certainly odd to see Sandon supporters in here saying DCE is having an awful year.

Most would kill to be in his position of privilege with thousand of supporters and a fat pay day.
If he's struggling for motivation that is a concern.

2/ Sandon won't be with us next year. He will be replacing Hugo. Hopefully not costing us Hugo.
3/ Rather than his form may actually be on the decline because of his age, it is a rare bad year. FFS
What are the odds of him winning us a premiership against the whole season blowing up in our faces?
Such a massive risk now with his form this year.

I’m a big DCE fan but he was farrking dreadful yesterday. So we’re Manly in general though.
Seems his care factor is very low and doesn’t want to get injured and jeopardise his contract with us and his QLD duties. Not a great attitude but that’s my take. I think he really doesn’t like Shebold and there are some fractures there.

Another failed signing. Another waste of money and another possible loss of another young gun. Recruitment is in tatters. We need to focus on our young guns not try and buy a premiership. We have awesome players coming through that we stand to lose if we keep buying big names who don’t live up to their hype. DCE is old and on the way out. We don’t need him.“Soon will the present day order be rolled up, and a new one spread out in its stead”- (Baha’u’llah)
