FFS guys - this is a football forum and this thread is supposed to be about Dom Young.
Instead , it’s degenerated into a slanging match full of vitriol.
Everyone has an opinion on players, coaches and what’s best for the team as far as lineups, and players to acquire or discard is concerned.
They will always be different, since we all are individuals.
Personally, I sometimes like opinions that might be different to mine.
Occasionally, it opens your eyes up to something new.
Its also called freedom of speech, and it makes the world go around.
We are all passionate Rooster supporters ( you have to be if you are on the site) so we all have an interest in common, and there should be respect shown because of that.

To get respect, you need to earn it. You don’t earn respect by thinking you are above everyone else and labelling them when their opinions are different to your own.

At NRL level Dom would would be a disaster at fullback - he would be close to the most awkward and unreliable in the comp under the high ball. His kick returns are woeful as a result of running too much sideways and appearing frightened of contact and his defence is sub par in commitment and decision making. Not great attributes for the last line of defence.

I wish he was better but he just doesn’t appear to have it. Just speed. I find it hard to recall anytime he’s created anything outside of someone putting him in space and Dom finishing. Finishing he does well.

Given Pauga has been struggling with a back injury all year I would tend to agree. I would've like to have seen Tom Rodwell given a game first to confirm he could transfer his NSW Cup form to the NRL.

But who knows we will have some more cash and a free spot in our Top 30.. there may be someone we have our eye on.

Personally if I were Dom I'd be hanging in there as he's getting paid $$$ and is one injury away from a possible crack at a premiership this year.

He's not unloved... Mark N's just a freak! Like Teddy getting dropped from Origin (and having to watch Edwards, Cleary and Yeo lead the way despite being dead bottom on the ladder which was NEVER Teddy during his 'off seasons'), sometimes you just need to shoulder it.

Rewatched the replay, we was pretty nonchalant about every thing happening, including the Teddy flick/savala try,but also that could be him being a bit like Toops.

He was beaming though at the Va’a try so I guess he’s a bit down about the whole thing not working out. Can’t blame him, but seems he’s still happy for the rest of the boys.

He was/is a huge female fan drawcard, they'll be spewing. He was also a handy finisher, exciting to watch in offense, standout onfield presence but we have a surplus of outside back troops and a salary cap to manage. Good luck to him I enjoyed his time here.

Barry Toohey reporting that we're paying most of his freight this year, but Knights paying most if not all of his salary for the next 2 years. Id say that's a very good deal for us, and gives us flexibility moving forward.
