  • Junior Reps Grandfinal Results

Sadly only 1 from 3 today - But good seasons still for all Sydney and Central Coast Roosters sides - all made the finals - 3 Grand Finals and Central Coast Roosters the prelim final in Harold Matthews Cup.

    Lisa Fiaola Cup

Parramatta Eels 26 defeated Central Coast Roosters 10

Not the result the team deserved and sadly probably their worst game of the season.

Down 18 - 0 at half time - came back to 18-10 but just couldn't find another try

Parramatta dominated possession and field position in the first half with the Roosters only visiting the Eels red zone in the first half on 2 occasions

Not making excuses but all three coaches who did a great job all season - Jayme Fressard ( Head Coach) and assistants Isabelle Kelly and Jocelyn Kelleher would have missed a fair chunk of training prep for the games these past two weeks plus game day in the prelim final and most of GF week as they prepared themselves for the Women's SOO Game 1

Congratulation to Central Coast Roosters captain and five-eighth Mia Vaotuua on being named player of the Series.

    Tarsha Gale Cup

Parramatta Eels 28 defeated Sydney Roosters Indigenous Academy 16

The Roosters jumped out to an early 16-0 lead but from then on Parramatta Eels dominated possession and field position.

Player of the match Tess McWilliams self propelled Parramatta back into the game and onto the win - bitter sweet as in 2024 she was a Rooster - Tarsha Gale Cup and NRLW Development contract.

Still a good season as they finished 7th and had to win 3 finals games to make the GF

Keeley Davis , Corban Baxter and Mel Spero (Australian School Girls Coach) did a fine job in coaching the team to the GF. A hard job as players reside in Sydney and or the Central Coast so not able to train as a full squad. week in week out as other teams can.

    SG Ball

Sydney Roosters 33 defeated Parramatta Eels 26

The players should buy lotto tickets after that game as they were not in that game for most of that second half - led 18-16-and then fell behind 26-18 with time truly running out.

Scored 2 unconverted tries in the last 2 or so minutes including the 2nd one seconds from full time to tie the game up at 26 all and go into extra time - the 1st of these two tries the attempted conversion was not taken due to time running out.

The sin bin helped as well

In extra time the Roosters scored a converted try and kicked a field goal to ensure the win to run out 33-26 winners

Congrats to Boyd Cordner on his first premiership as a head coach - probably aged 10 years in those last 2 minutes of the game

Also a hard job as players reside in both Sydney and Central Coast so training as a squad as often as required is limited if at all.

2026 Central Coast will have their own SG Ball Side.

So much talent on the Central Coast that the Roosters need to tap into and develop in both the Men's and Women's game

      .
How many local juniors in the SG Ball team should be a few as CLOVELLY won. Div 1 last year under 17?
