Watching the replay now, Rads made try saving tackles in the first half on that Dylan Lucas who looks like a player after he beat Tedesco and if Rads didn't chase he scores, and on Hastings close to the line.

Like Blocker said in commentary "Radley's too tough for his own good"

If Connor plays lock, who plays hooker?

          Come back fresh.
The difference between keary and Rads is rads does a lot of tackling of forwards and like Boyd , the tough hard collision runs. Head knocks are going to occur, whereas keary post hias was able to manage his game to have way fewer collisions. Saturdays head knock , I would say 3 years ago would not have caused a concussion. Therein lies the problem for Rads and the roosters.

This is Rads' third concussion for the season, isn't it? Plus that head knock from a couple of weeks ago that didn't end up being a concussion but was lucky it wasn't. I'm not close to a concussion expert but if a spell out of the team can help him then we should go for it, his long term health means more than winning footy games I think. If Radley is to continue to play out a footy career into his early to mid thirties he has to change the way he plays the game.

As for replacements for this season Nat Butcher can play lock, Foketi can play lock, Steep can play lock as well, pick the best out of those three for that spot (Foketi?) and give Rads 6-8 weeks to recover.

I think he's had 5 HIA this year and has passed 3 of them.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

not a good look that he's needed so many concussion tests this year but you can only go with the best medical advice. depends on what that is

                    Amen.
Also, it's not a good look for our club to keep playing him now ... a club that claims to have player welfare atop its list of good qualities.

And, it's a good time to rest him and train others to do what he does, in case he's missing thru injury.

I’d probably agree with the consensus here that Rads needs to be saved from himself. I think the team can manage without him.

Being a local boy with the two premierships and having the character and playing style he has, he’ll go down as a deadset legend of the club.

We saw the media hound Friend and Cordner into retirement when they still had plenty in them. Don't let the same happen to Victor. It's his call and no one else's.

Yep, the "questions" asked by the media in the post match presser did not come from a good place of genuine empathy and concern - more of a "gotcha" moment, trying to get an ego boost out of those asking the questions having their moment of self importance forcing a great rooster into bowing out of the game. I thought Robbo handled the ambush well. Those journos in reality wouldn't pee on Rads if he was on fire - they're just desperate to create drama they can make click bait out of. Roosters winning a game of footy never sells papers or clicks to the bogan masses - the media hate us and know everyone except (most) of us on here does too. But a roosters legend being forced to retire - now you're talking - that'll bring a smile to people's faces!

Yeah Robbo said in the presser he’s had two this year now including the one v Knights.
