  • Rodwell tore them apart in the second half, what a talent..

He would’ve been my choice ahead of Townsend on Friday night, the man is special.

      • Wasn’t sure which section to put this in but happy to hear Carter Mareko has extended his contract with Easts for 3 more years until the end of the 2028 season..

Another young and talented halfback coming up in the ranks, definetly one to watch!

I was at the game. Not one of Toby’s best. Dropped the kick-off twice and threw an intercept for a run away try.

Makatoa, Losalu and D.Va’a were all excellent. All played very well. Va’a just needs to work on his fitness cause quite clearly it’s lacking. Xavier, once again got hit and failed his HIA.

Sandon had two attempts at field goal in the dying stages. The second was charged down and recollected and he scored on the fulltime buzzer. Plus he scored another from a good run close to the line. He’s an excellent runner of the ball. Will be a shame to see him leave.

I asked a couple of officials why Toops Junior was pulled. Both said he’s preparing to play first grade next week so someone must be under an injury cloud.

Was a great game at North Sydney Oval. I reckon there was around 2000 people there. Can’t understand why more of our supporters wouldn’t attend. Nice to see Billy Smith and Benny L there supporting their mates too.

Toops got up a bit gingerly after he scored his last try. He seemed to finish the game OK, but he may have felt a bit worse for wear once he cooled down. I didn’t notice any issues with anyone else in the back 5.

Yes I saw that too. Mark also copped a high hit early on so it could be him too.

                • I hope Toops plays. He’s a great chance of being top try scorer. He’s currently equal 1st with Coates in 18.

Unsure where i see Xavier Va'a career going, he hasn't progressed as well as expected, fallen down the depth chart and is injured every other week.
Wouldn't be surprised if he focused on boxing fulltime

                      He’s still very young.

                        Thanks for the update
great to see Sandon is playing well in nsw cup and helping the guys in what will be his last season
                        Interesting with the Vaa boys
Obviously DLS still getting fitness back post illness however it does seem Xavier is injured very often
with a few guys coming up in jersey Flegg these guys will be to be close to first grade in 2026 otherwise they might be overlapped by Seve x 2, Magele and Uini

I saw junior tupou wasn’t named - unless is there a chance they are resting toops or teddy who have played all year? I would be surprised considering our ladder position unless there is a small one from the weekend and a weeks recovery would help

I thought Billy was very ginger after his high shot. He dropped the ball next hit up. I was surprised he didn't go for an HIA.

I was very surprised that they let him take the next hit up. He was definitely rattled by the previous tackle. Someone else should have stood up for that run from the tap.

                              And Fidow.

He deserves to finish the year as the top try scorer.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

That reads like you think Fidow deserves to be top try scorer- then I realised hang on this is Carlos
