Thought he played very good yesterday , topped our tackle count with 35 tackles , some good try assists , and a good try , so this issue with his new girlfriend isnt affecting his game , or infact improving it maybe? your thoughts how he went..

Hey Chookmaster, I posted the other day that I think Pearce is a good footballer but will never be great. I think he lacks creative flair, particularly 20 metres out from the try line. In saying that, I hope I am bloody wrong about that. O often amHe is a tough hombre as well.
I thought he played well yesterday although a few in another post are bagging him. Each to their own I suppose. Andrew Walker thought he nearly lost it for us yesterday? Entitled to his opinion like everyone , but I did point out the try saving tackle by Pearce on Moltzen 5 metres out with 5 min to go. It would have made it a 2 point lead. And yes he did miss Moltzen earlier who went over for a try, but it was still a fantastic try saver at the death.Embrace the Hate! JC

I thought some of his decisons in attack in the 2nd half were truly outstanding The bomb on the last to nobody except Utai The hospital pass to Moga and That wonderful no look pass to nobody all led to tries for the Tigers
Inspired decisdon making One could not help but think we must have been losing the gameI respect all our moderators here. Past present and even future. Always have done and always will do a wonderful job.

He is a above average footballer compared to his peers who are faster, smarter and possess a great kicking game.it is a true shame he hasn't developed in more of a creative half yet his work load in defence may impact on it unlike our former great horrie hastings who was slow, creative with a fine kicking game topping it off with a mountain of defence.
In pearces defence the only time he hascl

i think he would benefit immensely from some 1 on 1 coaching from soeone like andrew or matt john or even jason taylor. i think he is either too stupid or just doesnt have the initiative to notice areas he can work on or what his real strengths and weaknesses are. im not sure why the club doesnt have a mentor for him. he is by far the most important player in our team but also the one that hasnt lived up to his potential. everbody gives him raps but he still puts in indifferent performances. and even his good performances there are times where you just think why did you do that or why didnt you do this.
someone like andrw johns i think would be perfect. always gives him a good rap and imo would have good motivation to mould him into the next joey for nsw aust.

Cronk is a hack imo, and only made to look good alongside Smith and Slater.
Lets not forget he was exposed -playing us- last year without the others.

i think pearce is a above average 1st grader amongst his peers. Since his entry into top grade he really hasn't had the best coaches in the world to bring out the full potential and perhaps his style of playing is just what he will be. his peers are often smarter, faster and with a better kicking game. i praise his terrific defence workload however therein maybe the problem which impacts on creativity.he is zapped mentally.our club great kevin hastings was a similar half with a high defensive workload but with a smart brain, creativity and brilliant kicking game.great halves are rare and with all the expectations put on pearce it not surprising easts fans have been disappointed with his progress.i truly hope next season his style differs with maloney under better coaching or a better coach.often the little men in close games win it for a team due to speed, it such a shame he hasnt the speed like mortimer.

Scored a try, couple of try assists, 35 tackles, including the one on Moltzen when the game was still on the line. This after backing up from Origin a few days earlier. Sure he took a couple of questionable options towards the end of the game but overall a strong performance..... IMO.Originally posted by turk-283Kurt 79 - Kags 0..

I thought he played quite well too.. but let's be honest he makes far to many tackles for a half. And he's playing outside Anasta ffs, he flourished I'm 2010 when he had carney to feed off. let's not forget hes only 23, so I don't know yet if he's matured as footballer, hopefully a winning origin camp may revitalize his attacking flair. I want Pearce to be a rooster for life.
