i reckon freddy's comment about padded cells isn't too far off but gus was great for the roosters. the falling out with nick and his change of tune shows how petty he can be. defending mitchell's hit on joey was la la land stuff

i hadn't picked that up but makes sense. everything gus says is 'strategic'. he's always got an agenda (not saying his agendas are bad).

another thing from the article is that gus's turning on the roosters might explain webster's unsupportive comments on robbo. webster and gus might have fallen out but webster used to call gus the biggest genius in footy and that sort of influence doesn't evaporate overnight
