  • The reason we let Perret go halway through the season...

This may be a long shot...

Why would you let a valued member of our team be given away halfway through the season for no real reason?

Well the answer I am suggesting is that the Roosters want something (SBW) which they cant have this season because of a contract which SBW signed with the Bulldogs. But with the Roosters handing over Perret to the Dogs you may find SBW joining the Roosters late this year!!

I think SBW will take up that Japan gig at 600k and joins us early next yr

The earliest we can get him even with the dogs permisson is late July. Is it really worth having him for the last 5 rounds when there's little chance we'll be playing finals footy?

Probably on the money as Bulldogs would let him play but he does have a current union contract

P.S, I am not trying to start or spread rumours. This is simply something which I thought could be a distant possibility!

All mid season tfrs have to be finalized by June 30 meaning his contract has to be registered with the NRL by this date. He is contracted to the Waikato Chiefs and his committments will last until late July there at least and not to mention All Black matches that he will want to play in. As mentioned expect the Japan touch football contract be taken up as it is huge money for not much effort.

Should that read distinct possibility, as opposed to distant possibility, which would in effect only be a probabilty, as it is to far away.

Agreed. He should be here end of Jan...just before the kickoff....which wont go out on the full becuase Anasta wont be taking it.

Todd Greenturd is a clever operator. True that the Dogs are short on 1st grade wingers atm but the real reason for them signing Sam is to acquire his younger brother Lloyd who was Queensland U18's best last Wed night.
Without disclosing figures, the Dogs dangled a very juicy carrot in front of Lloyd - more than 5 times the Roosters offer & a top 25 spot. Such is the potential they see in Lloyd Perrett. The security of a 3 yr contract swayed Sam.

Our officials must obviously have confidence in the abilities of young props Josh Aloimai, Brandon Tago, Kane Evans & Dylan Napa.

I think you are all missing the point...

I can see why they would want him to go next year.

                        Israel Falou has been told by the AFL and GWS that they are willing to grant him a release out of his deal provided he doesn't not sign an NRL Deal with the following clubs;

                        Penrith Panthers
                        Canterbury Bankstown Bullscums
                        Parramatta Eels
                        Wests Tigers.

They are all western sydney clubs, and Melbourne / Brisbane have alreayd said that they will not have him back at thier clubs which only leaves the Roosters who can sign him as Souths have no money left cause they are about to announce Brett Finch.

Think about it, a 23 year old Superstar compard to the age of Perrett by 2013. What do you think the clubs intention is as we have thrown alot of money at our Juniors already and look how good it is working for us.

its a good theory that sams gone to the dogs as long as the dogs release $bw early( i thought it was june 30 any way).

or maybe be we are getting finch lol

or maybe sams contracted to june 30 and the dogs are more likely to make the finals than us
