  • Smiths continued poor use of the interchange

it really annoys me the way Smith is unable to adapt his interchanges to adapt to the flow of the game.

in the first half we were clearly dominating the match and he pulls our two best players FPN/Mitchell in what looked like a pre-planned swap, we clearly lost momentum when Friend initially took over at dummy half, it took Friend around 10 minutes to get a feel for the speed of the game.

having Tasi/Masoe on at the same time doesn't work, our defence goes out the window with poor lateral movement, he needs to start Tasi or drop Masoe to fix this problem.

and what annoyed me the most was when we were clearly out on our feet and the Tigers were rampaging Smith waiting to the 75 minute mark to make his final two interchanges, if he had brought Mitchell/FPN back on 5 minutes earlier we would have never lost control of the match like we did.

not sure what is wrong with Maubs but he is really horrid at the moment, lacking involvement and missing some crucial tackles over the last month, for the balance of the team I think we would benefit so much more by having Bosden/Evans on the bench.

He has been doing it all season. It doesnt matter about the flow of the game, who is winning or that there are no injuries Smith relaces FPN. I havn't been the biggest FPN fan but this year the guy is on fire, he is intimidating, Im liking what I am seeing & I think as he gets older (his best years) he will become like a Jeremy Smith, 1 tough fother mucker. Just the type I like.

I've been reading the Wall, Mario's old site and this one, for a dozen years.

One thing is always consistent: people complain about the coach's use of the interchange bench.

Doesn't matter if it's Murray, Stuart, Anderson, Fittler or Smith: people complain that the coach doesn't know how to use the interchange bench.

You can set your watch to it.

        It makes me laugh.

I too have been reading those sites for over 12 years and one thing is consistent with your posts Tom. Your acceptance of mediocrity and perennial losers.
