Could you please cut and paiste this team next week against mandy. I believe with the exclusion of braith with his funeral commitments with his new mate farrah and his un availability for the game, could you pencil in Daniel Mortimer as the 5/8.

it was a game for all of the much maligned players on this forum. i thought anasta, fpn, perret and friend all had great games today.

although he didn't have a blinder, i like the balance of the team with ant mitchell in it. the balance of them team is also much better with fpn firing up and the team actually having a 5/8

He was backing up from Origin. Even you would have to be reasonably happy with how he went today?
He went from hero to zero.

The really good players do not clock off, they put their foot on the throat of the opposition they take total control and dominate.

In that 10 mins he cost us, not 1 not 2 but 3 tries, thankfully we were 26 points up.

For his whole time in 1st grade he has teased us all with glimpses of what he can do, only to throw in some shit to keep us doubting he will ever fufill his potential.

However today is not the day for shitbagging, we won, so in the end i couldnt give a rodents rectum.

Pearce has a tendency to do that but he was backing up after origin. I thought A Mitchell Should have come on for him when that roll on for the tigers was gathering momentum. However Friend was also out on his feet despite being on for only 50 minutes at that point. He played out of his skin but was helped by the absence of Farah. His fitness is a huge concern.

Pearce was our top tackler today and this is a few days after playing 80 minutes in one of the most intense games I've ever seen.
                  Some people are never satisfied.

Yeah i thought Pearce was quite poor today.

Between him and mini as our worst. That strip was something special though. Nothing can excuse him from that first try, disgraceful. He almost repeated the same thing late in the match. Still gets involved too much. Just sit back and try to run off our forwards!

The majority of us do not rate halfbacks based on their ability to tackle.. so that fact is somewhat irrelevant

I didn't see the whole game today, started watching close to the 60th minute so i can't really comment on his game as a whole. But in those 20 minutes there was a very very poor showing from our halfback. You simply just can't clock off like that and a few of his involvements reversed all the momentum

Which is why players like Sandow end up on 600k contracts. Defence is 50% of the game, every player should be rated and held accountable based upon their defensive abilities. Just because the role of a position is more attack based than it is defence based doesn't make it 'somewhat irrelevant'. Defence is relevant to every player in the team, defence wins competitions. History shows us this.
