  • Jason Taylor is a miracle worker

its amazing what he is doing with a fairly ordinary bunch of NYC players is amazing, they are missing their 4 best attacking players in RTS/Moga/Wells/McGrady and they put 40 on a decent Tigers side.

they had a 100% completion rate in the first 55 minutes and finished at 89% on a greasy field at Leichardt today, the side plays with so much control/purpose compared to our top grade squad.

with the latest rumour doing the rounds that Smith has until the bye in two weeks to turn things around, surely the job should at least go to Taylor for the rest of the season.

Kane Evans also made a great return from injury with a lazy 19 hitup and 199m match.

Dean Pay the Storm NYC coach? Going by storm supporters opinion of him he won't be any better then what Smith is doing.... I actually think Taylor will be a very good NRL coach. Why not just move him upto the top job like the Broncos did with Griffen. Gives you a good chance of keeping alot of the quality youngsters coming through the 20's.

This actually makes a lot of sense.

You sure you're not a closet roosters supporter.

You must be one that can't read. Ahh now for the 102nd time. I don't mind the roosters and like a few of their quality young players plus I hate the tigers so no i'm rather happy with the win for the boys. Sounds like some of your ans still arn't happy and would rather talk about the refs and penalty count tho....

I do not give a rats what the Storm supporters think, ask anyone that knows anything about his time at the Roosters and the major role he played in getting us to 3 consecutive grand finals.

You want defence and structure, he is the man, Taylor can look after the set plays and kicking games.

Well looking at how his career has gone since the early 2000's during the roosters great years he hasn't gone on to be a NRL coach so i'm not convinced he played a major role. He is now coaching the Storm NYC squad that is coming 11th but has the squad down there to do so much more then that.

If anyone thinks Brian Smith is not going to see out his 4 year contract, you are sadly mistaken.

The chances of another coach taking over before the end of 2013, are zero.

                        Zero.

He is doing a great job with a young squad and the people who matter see it this way as well.

There will be no change of coach.

He quit coaching in 2004 and went back to his hometown to start a career as a trotting horse trainer, Bellamy ( the best coach in the business) coaxed him out of retirement to look after the 20's.

You seem like a good bloke, however I suggest you not comment about things you know nothing about

He is at a club that had a massive turnover of players due to the salary cap scandal, he also loses alot of his players during Origin and when Bellamy rest his stars.

Hardest gig in the business, getting decent young blokes in key positions to travel to bleak city and play second fiddle to some of the best players in the game.Yes it is great to play with them and under Bellamy, but these kids want to play 1st grade
