Um, no he's not actually. He's been a part of the emerging Maroons squad for a few years now and has been invited to a few camps along with Marty Kennedy..but you keep going on with your posts as well. Those of us who do actually know Jake also find them amusing.

I struggle to see what knowing Jake has to do with anything

Coming to the Manly game Rad? Oh, it's just that people keep saying that Jake will never be considered for Origin but he already has been in an official capacity via an invitation from Mal Meninga to attend the aforementioned camps. There is no way Jake will ever play origin.. Knowing Jake won't change that.

We all know he went to the camp but he does not have the quality to play origin.. Younger, better hookers will emerge before Smith has retired..

                        Chris Sandow
                        Chris McQueen
                        Dale Copley
                        Esi Tonga

have also been in the emerging origin squad as well.....

does that mean all those players mentioned above also are close to Origin?? from what i can see, they are pretty fair dinkum average and will never be origin players

I don't see Jake playing origin any time soon.

dont mean to intrude on this little argument but having watched copely closely over the last couple of weeks, I would love to see us pick him up. can play everywhere across the backline, good speed, great finisher and extremely good along the ground and in the air. He and Maranta got bomb after bomb last night and stood up every single time. would be great cheap depth as a replacement for pez or carney imo

It was the first time I saw Copley last night, he sure does look quality, so confident & self assured, bleeds talent, how long is he signed to the Broncs for?

off-contract end of next year. on a positive note, maranta who i was also pretty impressed by is off-contract this year. 2 smart options imo that would not break the bank and provide invaluable depth and strike power outwide
