Honestly shows the character of Nick Politis that he never took the club in a private ownership direction.

Nothing against clubs who are as every situation is different but I imagine Nick would've had the opportunity to purchase the club multiple times over, given the decades he's been involved with the club.

No but one of my older brothers would be as he is part of the 25% Souths Members ownership group - bangs on about how James Packer could be an owner when he is a supposed Roosters supporter - not sure if Packer still is as he had a falling out with Nick Politis when on the Easts Group Board.

The older brother was saying the other day the Souths Members group want first crack at Crowe's 25% if he intends to sell it. - He reckons that if the Souths membership group all put in $500 or so each they could purchase it and own 50% of Souths.

More than likely the value of a sporting team is based on the monetary value of the sport , the market and brand strength.
