In yesterdays press conference Brian Smith made the point that already 3 times this year, video referees had been dropped after bad decisions in Easts games. He went onto say that game referees and touchjudges had also been dropped.

This does not include yesterdays games, even allowing for the fact that Cecchin looks likely to be dropped.

In the lead up to yesterdays game there were articles in the media that Easts had been the most penalised side all year and recieved the least penalties.

Why is our management and our club being so quiet about this issue.

Could you imagine Hasler ... Bellamy ... Bennett, being quiet and placid about such a statistic or poor refereeing.

They would have let fly at a media conference long ago. Got the media coverage and im sure their teams would have been refereed in a more consistant mannor.

Easts management .... Cop the $10 000 fine and let rip ... it may be the best $10 000 you have spent in a long time.

Well we did win the penalty count yesterday?

I think it's just severe incompetence then anything... We would have blown up if it was a Broncos player that dropped it over the line but was awarded... and that strip incident was just incompetence.
