If its any consolation the take up rate for the new section has been pretty average.

The reason it was set up?
Answer: To try to give an area that is troll free for those that don't want their threads hijacked & destroyed.
The Chookpen Members area is an auto acceptance for applications...means that anyone is granted membership...trolls included.
The Gold Members section is by approval only...if any of these members cause themselves to be banned, then they have to go through the whole auto registration & then approval to get to the Gold Section again...a VERY lengthy process that would stop any troll from exposing themselves in this section, knowing full well their access would be cut off.
The Gold Members section was hand picked by Chris & a few members. The amount of posts had little to do with Gold Membership.
The quality of posts & respect for other posters had a large part in selection. A lesson yet to be learned, by some, it would seem.
Chris & crew have final say on any approvals that the Gold Members suggest for promotion.

I notice two who spend over 90 percent of there time posting about how pathetic the team is Or about how bad the coach is Which appears to piss off over 90 percent of posters on here Have been granted this elitist Gold Membership
