  • It must be just me.

I went to the game yesterday & then came home & watched it.

74th minute of the game no matter what else has happened in the game the Roosters are to recieve the ball from a kick restart after Moga had scored & the score is 28 22.
FPN even though he played well dropped the ball at the most critical time in the game. Game over.

My point is the Roosters were in that game till the 74th minute, they dont deserve all this negative shit about how pathetic they are or how hopeless they are. The Broncos, no matter who they put out there will be competitive & having the best NSW 1/2 back playing for them was the difference.

That was Anasta's best game, if we had of won he would have been MOTM he was in everything yesterday, Mortimer tried his guts out. It was never going to be a day that Moga would have a big game the conditions were not right, to many people on here expect to much of him to soon.

I felt sorry for the Roosters after the decision to allow the Glen try, it was 2 minutes into the 2nd half & it was just a blantant mistake. In saying that they hung in there like I said till 74th minute, that FPN drop ball cost us the game.

I enjoyed the game even though we lost, I didnt enjoy the refs mistake or the Roosters at times making mistakes which the Broncos directly scored from but they definately were not shamed.

Problem here Mickey is that everyone here seemed to believe that the game was ours before we had even played it.

As I have stated elsewhere, the conditions meant that the halfback role would be critical - they had theirs, we didn't have ours and the disadvantage they had from players out was much reduced.

      LOL.
Reminds me of the cutout pass he tHrew for the try and Gould said "only the very good players have that vision"..............its simple really. If Bwaiff gets the ball 15 times on the short side, near the line and has several fit and fast rugby proffessionals running at hole.....SOONER OR LATER HE WILL FIND ONE IN SPACE.
As the veteran playmaker he did not control the game. Wallace did. We lost by 20 in conditions made for a veteran playmaker.

        Anasta: 7mtrs Run, 12 Tackles
        Morts: 41mtrs Run, 39 Tackles
(Which one is playing reserve grade again?)

I agree that in the last few weeks we have been very competitive and could have come up with a few Ws, The problem is Braith, I am not a Braith hater like many on this forum, but there is no denying that he hasnt got it anymore, I think we have a good team, we just need Braith to step down from the number 6, He must know he isnt up to it anymore....why continue to beat a dead horse.

Apparently Braith's jersey was the only one that didnt need a wash after the game????

I'd get his drying machine serviced.... All that Lint that Bwaiff had to pick off his hoody during the press conference is not a good look.

the tackles stat there is of no choice of his own, he is targetted in defence ad im sure if he had the choice he'd be deending less. in saying that i dont think hes a terrible defender. his size doesnt allow him to ever dominate a tackle but i dont really recall him falling off too many like some other players.

we were in the game till the 74th minute but aside from that "broncos you dont have to play the ball on this occassion try" we let in some pretty soft tries. their opener was from a horrible defensive effort, and poor a henry contributed a few. plenty of drop ball too. its irritating, i know conditions contributed but i thnk broncos dropped less and it seems like an area we never improve on.

I hate to agree with you, but you are right.

Watching his try-assist to BJ - that pass was behind him and at the hips. BJ did not get enough praise for holding on to that pass in those conditions.

Looked to me that pass was meant for the heavily marked mini, iy was great hands by BJ and alot of luck mini scissorhands didnt grab at it

thats because Gould is still keen to perpetuate the Anasta myth.......http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/l...718-10g23.html

Until this stage of his career, he had shown tremendous potential. But there were lingering doubts as to whether he was really special. Was he a five-eighth or a back-rower? Was he a playmaker or a ball runner? Did the ball bounce his way through luck or was genius involved?

Maybe next week they could put a 3rd grade team up against us so we can see if you still find it enjoyable.

I have a feeling the Count will haunt us next season unless we get a coach who tells him to stay out of the way.

The saddest moment for me was watching Mini retrieve the ball from the ingoal (after failing to field a kick), having an eternity to get out but instead of diving at the ground he takes on their hooker (or half) and gets smashed back into the ingoal.

Sad to see a legend just not being up to it anymore.
