Hi R6, Do you rate Tapau and could he work at the Roosters?

I've long been a fan of his, from the days when the Bulldogs had him rotting in reserve grade and I still think he's a decent bench option at NRL level.

But no I would rather see the young guys get those minutes, the more minutes we put into Losalu, X Va'a, Foketi and Seve this year the better off we will be moving forward.

I was also thinking bench option/depth if his market price was reasonable.

Do you get the feeling that the NRL are playing favourites again, given it’s the Broncos? ie:
Lenui banned 8 weeks for sledging.
Mitchell Pearce banned half a season for an idiot video with a dog.
Mam 9 weeks ban for almost killing 2 people for reckless use of a motor vehicle, driving unlicensed and having drugs in his system at the time.

Seems entirely fair, doesn’t it, but hardly surprising given that the NRL want to protect their investment in South East Queensland.

If it were a Roosters player involved, could you imagine the furore it would cause, and the media would have a field day.

On the topic of Taupau, he liked a post criticising Madge’s tough training regime. That can’t be tolerated by the Broncs, as it akin to being critical about the coach. However , if a player almost kills 2 members of the public, that’s Ok since it doesn’t involve the club.

It all smacks of them wanting to get rid of Taupau anyway.

Unfortunately, I think the Broncs will be a much more dangerous side with Mam in it - they only have one geriatric half on the field now, instead of two.
