    "Opening weeks"? "Maybe?"

Yep, Spencer is looking like a favourite to end up being on the end of a longer suspension. Mitchell Pearce too.

That's leaving aside the police completely ignoring the 4 year old girl with the broken hip with their feather light traffic infringement they charged him with. Guy belongs in jail.
I thought the main reason they could sign Hunt, was because Mam was going to miss the season and the broncos were getting dispensation.

I guess the NRL are desperate to have the broncos win a grand final, it has been almost twenty years since their last one.

JAC has signed a new contract without contention and Mam's unlikely to miss any meaningful amount of game-time (opening few rounds max). IMO there's no point getting worked up about it as we always knew this would happen...

Unfortunately I think cases like Roberts and Barba are the result of ignoring such shyte. IMO the NRL is weak at times and OTT at other times...

If anybody else was unlicensed and drugged up while crossing lanes and hitting an oncoming vehicle that results in injury , they’d be in fkn long bay wouldn’t they ? ….anyway, the NRL Lack of Integrity unit let Fatrell get away with multiple f bombs , Mamm will probably get a apology and a fkn pay bump

Mam should be out for the season at minimum. Laughable charges have been laid and a totally embarrassing look for the NRL.

Talk about media bias and protection. If he gets anything remotely close to what Spencer got for the on field rubbish, then we are lost as a game and society as a whole.

Yes indeed they should, and they do.

The electorate didn't vote against them having "a voice" in parliament, they already do. They voted against "The Voice", which fortunately most people were able to see beyond the double talk was something else altogether.

It sounds like his lawyer is going to blame Spencer for Ezra going off the rails this year.

If you read the whole article you will read "A mother and her young daughter suffered minor injuries in the collision". So, seat belt burns, and a fractured hip are minor injuries? As well as the psychological ramifications for the daughter, mother and uber driver (that is/was his profession) whilst out driving on the road.

Crybaby's court case is set for the 16th of December. I'm not holding my breath for a positive outcome, but I seriously hope he has a date with Satan in Hades.

    Well 007, I hear you.

There is clearly a white wash going on behind then scenes here (no pun intended, honestly).

I find it hard to exercise sympathy for this clod, as he played the race card to unjustly stir up a dreadful persecution of islander Spencer Leniu, when what he was really crying about was his piss poor performance in the Vegas opening round.

Any rational, unbiased, and unwoke person can see that this little pip squeak playing the woke, race card to crucify another player, who was just as coloured as he was, was a gutter low act. He even refused to accept Spencer's apology (which he should never have been expected to offer).

The media, including the loud mouths Thurston, Latrell and Nico Hynes, bemoaned their outrage at such a lenient penalty as outing Leniu for a third of the season. For, let's be clear, a coloured fella calling another coloured fella a monkey.

So, young Ezra went for the jugular with Leniu, and demanded a harsh penalty, which thanks to the gutless NRL and their media partners, he had his way with.

Spencer and then roosters kept their mouths shut and copped a clear injustice sweet and moved on.

And here we are with the original complainant committing a deliberate act of driving unlicensed (obviously due to previous driving offences), while intoxicated by an illegal drug, causing a serious accident including breaking a small child's hip (not a minor injury as reported, that's just gaslighting), that involved crossing over the wrong side of the road in a giant hoon 4WD and hitting a normal car head on.

He clearly knew he was unlicensed and under the influence of illegal drugs, but obviously thought he was entitled enough (for the obvious reasons), that those laws shouldn't apply to him, as he is morally free to act however he wants.

There is a confusing period of time where he is not charged with anything by the QLd police, and when the secondary drug test comes back positive (once again after an inexplicably long period), he is charged with drug driving, unlicensed driving, and, an artificially unsevere charge for causing a head on that grievously injured a little girl. "Failure to control a vehicle" - yeah, like he accidentally scraped his hubcaps on the kerb. He fricken maimed a young girl.

This is definitely a cover up. The way he hung Spencer out to dry means he's entitled to no sympathy. Yet he's well on his way to having this swept under the carpet by the NRL AND the courts.

He belongs in jail, but he's headed for a 9 week ban (one week more than Spencer), which in their minds would prove their integrity.
