The problem with smith seems to be he is incapable of playing 80 mins purely because he refuses to get in shape. That undoubtedly grates robbo the wrong way and with the new line being drawn in the sand on attitude it makes sense he is being moved on.

personally was never a fan of the signing. When a player cannot get fit even under Bellamy, that to me was a clear sign of poor attitude that was not going to ever be fixed

I think Cheese and Watson offer a very similar profile of player despite key differences in style, I just don’t know if you can justify having them both in the same 17.
