On the cheap it'd take him. He would give us some depth, but I don't think he would lead us to a comp.

Let’s just see how the Merge go with Flanno junior running the show.

I'd rather see what some our unproven young guns can do, so thanks but no thanks Benny.
Yes 100%, he is a disloyal prick.
And old Nick doesn't like disloyal pricks.

This should be interesting to watch unfold. Hunt has stated that he'll never play another game under Flanno.

Flanno wants him gone as he feels Hunt's comments are disrespectful and no one is bigger than the club. Flanno also thinks that Hunt's big salary could be better spent bolstering his squad.

Personally, I hope I never see him pull on a rugby jersey ever again. Regardless of whether he passes or fails his second drug test is in my opinion irrelevant.

Testing positive to one drug test, driving unlicensed and causing injury to three people (one seriously - a 4year old girl), the anxiety that those victims will/may endure in the future, the authorities (meaning the law not the NRL or Broncos) for mine should give him serious jail time and should never be able to play in the NRL (or anywhere else for that matter) ever again.

If one deserves to get a decent comeuppance it is that precious little crybaby. I have absolutely no sympathy for him or his cohorts and in all seriousness, I hope the good lady 'Karma' rears her pretty head once again.
Oh look I do agree with you. I think about that poor little girl who will probably be impacted by that injury for the rest of her life, both physically and emotionally. If the second drug test comes back positive he will be charged and then he should face some serious consequences.

Given our injury situation and a stack of senior players leaving, its almost a no-brainer not to sign him. God knows we have the coin for it.

I assume he wants to return to QLD though.

One assumes the release involved the Dragons agreeing to pay x amount of his final contract (2025) - reported to be 900 to 950k

Usually when players are released from contracts with one club they have another club to go to and the clubs negotiate how much each will pay of the remainder of the original contract. - 2025 in Hunts Case

Hunt has no other club at this stage.

Back in the day Todd Payten when he signed with Wests Tigers was being paid by 3 clubs for I recall 2 years - Raiders 1/3 - Roosters 1/3 and Wests Tigers 1/3

We are a better premiship chance then any qld side and we are missing walker and smith for half a year
have cash and we lost jwh, Keary and suaali so require the old head
would be perfect to fill in 9 and 7, and when they are back either 6 if sandon isn’t there yet or he and smith between 9 and 14
we have the money - why not

Realistically I reckon signing with us would be his last opportunity to win a premiership... and he's the man to deliver it. Him and Walker (guessing they're familiar with each other too?)
I think Hunt and Walker could be hit or miss tbh. If he is happy to take a back-seat and play a bit more of a supporting, ball running role it could work.

I'd prefer him at hooker than Cheese tbh and I dont think Cheese has been as bad as some think. He's kicking game would be handy in either role.
