Australia has always been a pay to win country particularly in NSW

Pearce copped 8 weeks and a $140,000 fine. What a farce.

Disgusting. The NRL need to do the right thing and wipe him out for at least half a season.

I'm just shocked we haven't had the public voice of reason and compassion, Jonathan Thurston out in force advocating for monster ban in this case.

    Are they for real??
As Toovey once said, “there needs to be an investigation!!”

Will the NRL have the guts to suspend this guy or just sweep it under the carpet?

    ie: has no criminal record.

Visa application for travel to America:
Do you have a criminal record?
His answer would/should be "No", surely.

So true, and for Ism to miss that being a lawyer is sad really.

How can I trust anything else you tell me now?'

Granted he's not likely to work in an industry that's gonna care. However the ones I'm thinking about don't appreciate people giving incomplete answers or obscuring facts. One would be better off coming clean and showing remorse.

Could also have travel implications (though again unlikely, IMO a finding of guilt against you is never a good thing... particularly when it's public like this).

Sandons record will be wiped clear without any mention of guilt when he completes his corrections order

Haven't read all the comments and don't know is this has been mentioned. But did you see the news grab of Sandon leaving court being hounded by media. And one asked a question along the lines of " Sandon do you think its a good look for an athlete to cause injury to another person"....Seriously??

On face value Number 2 looks like the lesser incident if not knowing the full details.

News Articles are saying Mam could be stood down for 4 to 8 Games
The Broncos have nothing to do with Sandon Smith they're two separate incidents happening in two different states and Sandon Smith isn't getting suspended by the NRL because the Broncos are going to point at him and say that he should be suspended

What Mams court verdict and the NRL decide on Mam are separates.
If the court decide to go hard it likely the NRL will go soft but what’s certain that whatever the NRL decides eitherway it won’t be truly about Mam but more the case of how much revenue can be made by the media which the NRL get a percentage. The media and NRL have had weeks to figure out plan A and B.
