  • Leo thompson - open market

Leo Thompson reportedly going to Market - Knaughts have tabled an extension but he is believed to want to test his value.

worth a look or are we confident in our current stocks up front (Collins, Leniu, May, Whyte …..)

I believe his twin brother is joining the Knights next year from Union so it would be a strange decision for Leo to leave.

Likely just delaying resigning to increase his asking price - also seems a bizarre decision given they recently lost Dan Siafiti to the Dolphins.

they will desperately want to secure Thompson.

I think he would have to be the right price to make it worth while, he’s still far from the finished product so there would need to be some acceptance on his part that he’d be willing to take a little less to go to a club who could help him reach his potential.

I said in another thread I’d be going after Fonua Pole who is a couple years younger and IMO has a higher ceiling.

Not a priority. Strong defensive centres and a half with a big boot are what we should be going after IMO.

Yes seems a very good impact high energy front rower and still improving
but we do have a great front row rotation with similar impact power players with Leniu and Whyte with the Vaa bros coming up
not a position we need to focus on but wouldn’t say no

Publicity stunt. I don’t think you’ll hear about him again.
