That’s an easy fix for me because mini played on the wing, and I think overall, Teddys a better all round fullback just.

Centers and hooker aren’t as obvious for me.

having more Morley and JWH in the same team would probably only work if we were playing pre NRL.

hard to compare eras and hard to compare positions. you can't win a game without a good pack of forwards but it's normally a spine player that will win motm awards. freddy was more brilliant but teddy's a machine. what do you go on? premierships won should be a factor - if teddy leads us to another premiership he'd get my vote although i do think freddy should be in the immortals equation - great with ball in hand and a better defender than a lot of the other great ball players

Brass and Harris are the probably the best centers I've seen since the 1960s. Jake Friend probably the best hooker in that time. Wish he was still playing

Way too many to single out one.
Hard to separate all those greats but mini as a 1 club player, most tries 139 , 302 games and missed about 40 with back surgery and all the awards he received puts him arguably above most.

These questions seem to get posed with frequent regularity.

It's hard for me to single anyone out. When I was younger (and had sporting idols), I guess it was Kevin Hastings. I even wrote a letter to the newspaper voicing my opinion as to why he should have been selected for the Kangaroo tour and not Steve Mortimer.

I fondly remember chanting 'Kevin Hastings walks on water, tra la la la, la la la la' at the old Sports Ground.

I grew out of idolising sports people, but I guess the likes of Noel Cleal, Kerry Boustead, Fairfax, Andrew Walker, Rod Silva, Fittler, Mini, Fitzy. SKD and Toops all got my blood racing for one reason or another.

Each to their own mate. I guess it’s who you love at a particular age. I’m certainly not going to argue with anyone who says Teddy, that’s for sure.

Mini was coming through when I was a teen/early 20s so I think you just naturally love the game a bit more at that age.

If they were redoing our all-time team I suspect your answer (Teddy fullback; Mini wing) would be the popular vote.

Pretty good list, can’t argue with who you’ve selected but I would add Ricko onto the reserves list in place of a few of those names. Just my opinion.
