Atkins was good and deserves to get GF.

He reffed the best game last week and gave NIL 6A. Tonight he gave ONE 6A - to us.

You can get a great, fast game without this Shiite rule.

Hope we don’t get Klown or Mutton next week.

    Anyone but these two.

The four loud, drunk, abusive Manly yobbos behind me in Bay 230 didn’t think so. They yelled out totally foul language about Rooster players from even before the match. And it went on and on, AND I got beer spilt on me when they thought they had scored. There were families there, and they really spoiled a lot of the night. I didn’t want to start anything (tho I did celebrate our first try VERY loudly). Of course, they got a bit quieter later in the game, not before abusing their own players. Three left, and one all but passed out in his seat.

They used to display a number to text to report anti social behaviour. I contacted the stadium to suggest they reinstate that, as well as picking up their RSA game.

Fair calls mate. I was pretty mobile last night across different areas and , although they were very loud and opiinated, the Manly fans I encountered were largely good spirited.

Yeah, I have no problem with Manly. Have a friend who is a Manly supporter. In fact, the person who asked them to tone down the language was a Manly fan…which they ignored.

Ch 9 will decide who is the GF ref just like they did with Fake of Origin.
What ref was appointed for all FOO games ? Yes that’s right The Klown.
Who owns the rights to the GF and FOO. Yes that’s right Ch 9.

Surely a battle of the beaches, master v apprentice coach battle is what is wanted by ch9?

Although to be a nitpicker, the hit by Olakau'atu on Collins was a textbook shoulder charge - no effort whatsoever to wrap arms around in a tackle. We've had guys binned, sent off and suspended for 3 weeks for less. Exactly why did the bunker choose to ignore that?
If that wasn't a shoulder charge than nothing ever will be.

For certain the nefarious V’Landy will be sighted on GF day. The last sighting when he was in Vegas for his NRL Freak Off.

Of course we’re all happy with the refs this week. If I was a manly fan I would be annoyed. They didn’t get the rub of the green that’s for sure and we were very good at slowing down the ruck at the play the ball. I don’t understand how the refereeing mandate changes week to week. No other sport in the world does that. It’s the only plight on the game of rugby league - we never know if we’ll be officiated fairly

Don’t know about that, I though Manly were getting the quicker play the balls. Their outside back in particular were allowed to play the ball way too quickly for my liking. Their forward pack got dominated but don’t think it was a game where either team was really in control of the ruck. We controlled the field position and tempo well.

I thought DCE should’ve been sin binned as well, saying it wasn’t a professional foul because Crichton never looked to pass to the supporting player who was never there because he was taken out is illogical. Appreciate that was the bunker and not Atkins though.

But yes there has been a noticeable allowance around slowing of the rucks since the finals kicked off. The Storm are the best at this, the “accidental” defender who just happened to get caught up in the play the ball standing with his arms in the air blocking off the dummy half is a key play of theirs. The attacking player who plays the ball off the mark putting the markers offside and out of play. I am a little worried about the NRL’s softening in this area against a club like Melbourne.

Won't get Atkins two weeks in a row unfortunately......that leaves Klein as the primary option this week

Worth Robbo raising this publicly in the pre game presser? I'd love it if he did.

Cameron Munster is the master of this.

Storm, like the pamfers, also take a big stride to the side in an effort to catch the markers not square. As well as grabbing the jersey of a tackler in an effort to stop them getting back onside. In my opinion this is a deliberate professional foul and should be a sin bin.

Watch for the the dog shot attempt on Victor's clavical.
