  • The officials tonight

I gotta give Grant Atkins a rap for tonight's officiating. Actually let the fame flow and no nitpicking penalties. There were some good hits from both sides. One of the better games I've watched all year.
Think the refs were told this week let the game flow?

We will 100% get the clown next week.

Chalk and cheese to how Adkins refs the game.

Apart from their second try which Atkins initially disallowed and was some kind of sick joke The officiating was good
I respect all our moderators here. Past present and even future. Always have done and always will do a wonderful job.

        Agree.

Actually both games this weekend were officiated very fair.
It’s good when no one notices the ref and that’s what happened tonight.

Was surprised they let the sandon nose tap go.

correct call but just shocked me, wonder if that will change next week when Jared boops someone on the nose lightly

            10/10 for Atkins

As for Klown, I wouldn't piss on that bias carnt if he was on fire.

How good is it when you don’t notice the ref
they actually communicate with the players and not just freak out and send everyone off like Klein
                no player respects Klein

He is one of the refs that we have our highest winning rate under. This is what I also ponder, we average a 60 odd % win rate over Robbos career, about 33% under Sutton, and 60 to 70 odd under Atkins. Is it game style? Do we just play a style that doesn’t gel with the refs view in some instances.

28 week wait for a fair contest. Atkins will get the GF on that performance. The Klown would have binned JWH for running too hard in the 1st hit up.

Yep, delighted with the result and the non antagonistic refereeing. What a difference it makes, well done Atkins.

Although to be a nitpicker, the hit by Olakau'atu on Collins was a textbook shoulder charge - no effort whatsoever to wrap arms around in a tackle. We've had guys binned, sent off and suspended for 3 weeks for less. Exactly why did the bunker choose to ignore that?

It was a stellar performance. We probably got the slight edge on the 50-50's, which the dominant team should tend to do. He wasn't baited into a bunch of milking 6-agains and penalties that a few teams are very good at, and aside from that he was scarcely noticed.

                        We'll have Klein next week.

It makes a huge difference when the ref let's us play some footy.

This article https://tbrrugbyleague.com/news/sydn...lwarts-return/ states the opening tackle would have seen JWH binned in the Uk super league - WTF are they on??

"The first 20 seconds of the semi-final saw young Manly centre Tolu Koula leave the field for an HIA and never return, after being clattered in a bruising run from Waerea-Hargreaves, with the nature of the collision likely resulting in a sin bin if it were in the Super League right now."

As I pointed out elsewhere, the Olakau'atu shoulder charge on Collins was conveniently overlooked by the ref, bunker and commentators.

We won the penalty count which is refreshing.
