he has been close to if not player of the year. But he is not a good captain. He is not the right presence and temperament.

Maybe it is true when you are comparing him to Boyd Cordner..... but im pretty sure every single NRL referee/ official would have more respect for Teddy as a captain than they would for Radley.

Dont get me wrong, i love Rads and this year his head has been screwed on. However in 2021, 2022 and 2023 he had missed 12 weeks in suspensions, numerous sin bins and even 3 double sin bins. Refs have long memories and his discipline had become a liability

Teddy is a excellent captain- you dont get the honour of captaining your state and country if you dont have the respect of team officials and peers.

If Rads keeps playing a disciplined aggressive game then he will make a excellent captain too, as would Angus and Lindsay. These are the next wave of leaders that will have to step up next year
