    Cherrington to miss 4-6 weeks
    Monday, July 20, 2009
Roosters second rower Anthony Cherrington will miss 4-6 weeks with a Grade 2 medial ligament tear in his knee.

Cherrington was injured in the second half of the game after a tackle and was carried from the field.

Craig Fitzgibbon will today undergo scans on his right cheek after a head clash in the game.

I dont remember the incident, but I did notice his face was a bit more banged up than usual last night......

What a top bloke he is.......although he did look a bit perturbed when he asked me if I wanted anything signed in line, and I told him, nah just having a chat to Shack......

Effectively that is the season for Cherrington which is a shame.
I'm going to miss Fitzy and I still can't get over the fact that he won't be a Rooster next year.

Fitz will be out, but will return for the end of the season

        Fitzy out for 2-3 weeks
        Tuesday, July 21, 2009
Sydney Roosters captain Craig Fitzgibbon will be out of action for two to three weeks after fracturing his cheekbone in Sunday’s match.

The Roosters backrower had scans that revealed a slight crack leaving him unavailable for selection until the one of the next home games against the Wests Tigers or Manly Sea Eagles.

The news is positive Roosters fans who wish to farewell one of the Tricolours greatest players who will leave the club at season’s end.

Fellow backrower Anthony Cherrington suffered a similar fate from the match with a knee injury keeping him sidelined for up to a month after a disrupted start to the season.

I'm sad I missed this moment.

Would have loved to have a laugh at this scum getting hurt.

Will he need an operation? Perhaps it will get infected....

Gotta give Mini a go I say.......I know he's not the biggest talker, but it's not like Fitzy is either.
