I posted before that our backs are terrible and we need Oldfield.
Apparently Benji Marshall is the best player in the world according to Warren?
Isn't Thurston, Smith and Slater still playing?
They get a hot streak but wins are against an injured Panthers side, The Eels who they then conced 30 points in 13 minutes from, Titans by one point without Scott Prince, Warriors by 2 because Vatuvei made a deadly mistake and are ranked 15th in defence, then the only decent team the Coeboys are up next but they get a week off and verse Storm and Boncos during Origin period that's gotta be the easiest draw out. They'll fluke 10 wins in a row probably.
Did you not watch the 05 gf.
Oh and I have to add they join in 200 dont make the finals till 05 then not get in again till 2010 after winning GF then choke.
Get heaps of TV slots, Whinging captain ,ovehyped by media whats there not to hate about them?

Make no mistake I hate them as much as any supporter (2005 gf plus what they did to LOD in 2007, was at the game and best game i'v been to) but how does previous years such as 2005 make them over-rated this year? Besides the 2005 gf was the last one worth watching because of the free flowing attack without the wrestle that has now taken over the game.
If anything they have shown their quality this year by being able to stick together and string some wins together after the start they had, sure they had some luck coming up against average teams at first but their game against the cowboys was very good and proved they deserve to be up where they are on the ladder at this point in time.
Lemon Goat i'm sure if I could be bothered going back through the threads i'd see you talking up players such as JWH, Cordner, Moga, Tasi, Pearce, SKD, Aubo, Morts etc after they string a couple of good games together.

Experts rated Moga as the next Folau
Most people rate JwH hes an international
SKD is great but off-form snd injured I dont think I rate him but hes a very good centre and try scorer
Id rate Tasi as a good bench player
I like Aubo but prefer Glen Stewart etc. I think hes underated but dont overate him
Cordner has got a great future captained junior blues etc solid player for hos age
And I only rate Mortimer better than Anasta. Id prefer many other 5/8 over him but anyone but Anasta
Your wrong......,,...
I recall in many posts I said that we need to refurbish our backs and rambled on about getting Oldfield.
If you win a game fairly obviously its deserved but im just pointing out that they get alot of luck their way snd the draw their way.
Theyre overated in my point of view because theyre way too hyped up. People say ohhhhhh most entertaining team, best squad yadadadadada but its bull. Why cant they make it thru the finals then????
Another thing is how overated the players are. When Marshall scored against Souths last year Warren said "the best player in the world at the moment has scored". How could you say that when theres still Johnathan Thurston, Billy Slater, Cameron Smith, Paul Gallen and Darren Lockyer going around at that point of time how could you rate him the best player in the world beats me?

Exactly my point, so how come these players who are rated by you (don't get me wrong I rate a few of them to) not be able to be higher on the ladder after 26 rounds then the ''overated'' team you picked to come 3rd?

They have made the prelims the last 2 years, thats pretty good in my eyes and deserves to be talked up as premiership contenders. Yes its bull in your eyes because you hate watching them win just like I do but theres no denying they are one of them more expansive and entertaining teams when on song.

They made the semisvlastvyear not prelims and Johnathan Thurston is the best player in the world and you know it.
Yes not as talented as Benji but who's more consistent, efficient and the best goalkicker in rugby league?
Johnathan Thurston
And I only rate a few in he Roosters many of the players in this team are way too error prone including JWH

Very high of you to say that whoever says Benji is the best in the world is wrong and that his over rated. Ok semis my bad, how about consecutive top 4 finishes.... I'd be happy if the cowboys could pull 2 season back to back like that just like most roosters fans on this site.
Now the media froths over Marshall and the Tigers instead of the brilliant Freddy and the Roosters.
Why can't Warriors get attention. Its ridiculous they dont deserve this form. Storm and Broncos before Origin what does the NRL get out of seeing Tigers win. They'll get more benefits if they help Broncos or Storm win.

8. Cowboys or Warriors (Slightly lean to the cows)
12th to 15th Roosters (same as pre-season tip).
Wake me up when it's over...
We'll finish 12th-10th

Maybe the NRL also thought that the tigers would be hit with origin players too... Lawrence, Galloway and Farah have all played for Australia and could of all been playing origin along with bolters at the start of the year such as Tuquiri and Woods. No one knows how each team is going to perform before the season starts so the NRL is on a hiding to nothing when they announce the draw and have a team full of origin players missing against a team in form and only missing one.
So you don't like the NRL 'helping' the tigers and would prefer them to help the broncos or storm? I'm sure that tune would quickly change if they do in fact 'help' them in your mind a couple years down the track.
The NRL didn't help the roosters back in 2000-04, the roosters did it themselves with the side they had and hard work put in.
But hey don't let this from stopping you have your whinge. You should go down to NRL headquarters and start a petition.
