Torn between expecting us to be beaten but also feeling we are finally due, even with the cattle we have out.

There's at least 14 teams who would love to be in our position. [/QUOTE

For the punters we are out to $7.50 with Sportsbet to win the premiership. Seems generous for what many think a 3 horse race heading into finals. Should we beat Panther tomorrow night, those odds shorten dramatically.

There's nothing generous about sports betting odds.

Nothing wrong with nerves. They're helpful, if you use them correctly.
He absolutely should be nervous, but I'm sure he's just as equal parts excited.

JS was interviewed Yesterday & he said he will be goal kicking & his neck is fine. I guess he wouldn’t say otherwise. Time will tell if he takes the field. Fingers crossed

Without red/white/blue goggles on this season we are 0-5 against the other teams that finished in the top 5 and we will be without 4 maybe 5 key pieces of the team this week which will likely put us on a collision course should we make it a prelim in Melbourne against the best team in the comp.

Yeah nah. He looked and sounded as confident as ever.

Reading some of the comments the team should book their end of season trip away starting on the 24th of September.

Will it be tough? Yes. We all know that our recent record against them is rubbish but the Titans with nothing to play for almost beat them and gave us a home semi final.

The Panthers have come back to the field in my opinion, not that long ago the phins should have beat them, the Warriors did and earlier this year Manly flogged them.

This is not the same team that has won three straight premierships.

Just in case anyone is interested, Brandon Smith mentioned on his podcast a few hours ago that he will be having surgery this Saturday, and won't be waiting multiple weeks. He also mentioned that he and Sam will be starting and doing rehab at basically the same time, and will be partners in the gym while rehabbing. Overall positive news.

EDIT: He also mentioned that the Roosters have been the most penalised team in the comp for the past 3 years, and have conceded, by far the most this year. They're certainly aware of the trend lol.

I agree. Somebody said the same thing last week, but I don't think he's been any different to any time in any other press conference this season. Some questions he will be very open with his reply but there's some topics he won't buy into and that's always been his way.

Even the Eels had them on toast a few weeks ago, and they played in “spoon bowl” last week.

I would not be underestimating the Panthers at all. They are perfectly timing their run and most of the examples you guys are using of poor performances they either won the game or they had their star player missing. I think they are in the box seat to win it yet again because they are robotic and clinical, take all the emotion out of the game and take advantage of every bit of field possession they get.

If we are to win we need to blow them away early and then hold on when they get a 6 again onslaught.

The reason they look vuknerable is because they can play poorly and still win because they do the fundamentals well.
