God, we’re all over them in metres and just cruising through the middle, but the penalties and errors are just the ultimate leveller. The only thing the Roosters desperately need is someone with a cool head who can impose that mentality on everyone else. It’s what Cronk did for us, and we badly miss it years later.

I think our defense has been really good. Great contact, fairly limiting metres and looks structurally good. I think we’ve only missed 2 or 3 tackles. The second try was just a bad individual error.

Spencers dropped balls and the poor penalties have been the real killers.

Mark M has been great in his debut. Only criticism is that when hitting up he steps too much too early. Almost looks like he’s caught in quicksand.
