  • What a pleasure

It was to see a big hard running centre capable of breaking the line. Symonds is a revelation in the no4 and to top it off he's a junior. His running reminded me of a Harris or Cleal. Let's hope they keep him there. He made more breaks yesterday than Soliola did in 3 years.

Not going to argue with you there. He has the build for it and having played 5/8th before he'd have the hands as well.

The kid looks good. But surely he is a backrower.

He reminds me of a young Bryan Fletcher. Both are Bondi boys.

And Pearce 4 line break assists.... when was the last time that happened?

I wouldn't mind seeing a Symonds (left) and Williamson (right) centre pairing given a run for the rest of the year, they could just be the centres we've been looking for.

Agree 100%, I was so impressed with Symonds on Saturday, him and Williamson could be great for the future.

yep agree the side i would like to see round off the year once williamson, Myles and mini return from injury/suspension:
              1. Pez (deserves to be left there)
              2. SKD
              3. Symonds
              4. Williamson
              5. Mini (find his feet and help williamson adjust)
              6. Jones
              7. Pearce
              8. Myles
              9. Friend
              10. FPN (better starter - skills, power and aggression early on is vital)
              11. Mase
              12. Fitzy
              13. Maubs (workrate and youth)

              14. Paea (expreience on the bench)
              15. Shack
              16. Cherrington
              17. Kouparitsas

Omeley will be gones next year and shack gives us more because he can play in the backrow as well. Soli is leaving so no point and Sa needs to deserve his spot again.

Stevie Wonder would have run past Ropati yesterday......in fact all season he has been terrible and looks miles overweight........surprised he hasn't been cut. Symonds did however run very good lines and HARD with plenty of effort....something guys like Sa should learn to put in.

The only question I have of Symonds is his speed. He made up for it yesterday with his hole running and his strength, but as for a future in the centres, I'm not sure he has the pace to become super successful there

He can work on that-look at Folau he aint fast .Inglisnt isnt lightning either but they know how to run.

That was the only thing I could question about his ability to play in the centres, is his speed

I would also like to see how he defends in the centres, whether he is quick enough to cover opposition players. He defended at 5/8 yesterday

Symonds was superb yesterday and I for one was happy with MOST of the team.
The one glaring dull spot, the one player not putting in, the one spoiling it is setaimata sa. I won't mention SKD here.

I have given sa the benefit of the doubt this year because he was playing in a position that doesn't really suit. Now though, he has played in the 6 and against the worriers he wore 11. I expected involvement, workrate or attacking flair - what he delivered was rubbish and to my mind cost at least two tries. I've had it with sa, he is a useless lump of lard and should be punted to the jets.

Folau isnt too quick but Inglis is like lightning when he gets going

He can hit holes, tackle, fend, and draw and pass. Those are good qualities for a centre.

He and Williamson could have a long future there.
