Every kick chase he was lagging behind, every attack down his side he would fall back so he didn't have to take a hit up, every time someone ran to his side he would back off until the attacker was literally running into him. He continually backs off in defense and has been the biggest disappointment for me in the last 6 weeks.
He's a good player and can be a good worker, but these last few weeks he has been ridiculously crap.

He wasn't playing in the centres for 50 minutes of the match and was still bludging, it's been the same for weeks now. The amount of times I've seen him bludging on the wing in defense is ridiculous.
I'm his biggest fan, trust me, that's why I'm pissed off.

Stick Maubs in the middle and make him work.

He gets too comfortable on the fringes, waiting for the ball to reach him.

Watch the game over and count how many times he waits back in attack and leaves us short, or how many times he is the last on his side when chasing kicks.
Maybe it's a fitness issue, maybe not..

That is why players like Cordner reach rep levels, while players like Maubs end up being consistant club players.

When the game is in the balance or your back is against the wall a rep player will stand up and try to get his team back in it, while others sit back.
